Who's going September 2008?

I know I should probably look in the Dis Meet section, but does anybody know of a dis meet happening on any day between the 15th and 20th of Sept.?

I can tell you're excited. It will be 19 yrs since I've been to WDW. I can hardly stand the wait. Have a great trip!!

I don't have any kids. My only plan is to leave reality behind and have fun!!

:welcome: Let me be the first to welcome you both to the DISboards. Glad to have you here!!!!:cool1:

Thank you for the welcome!

BTW, I have two doxies: One dapple like yours and one chocolate.

Going Sept 27-Oct2. Booked before we checked out last Sept, so free dining.
We are staying at CBR again.
Hubby and I do Disney w/o kids (ours are grown). We went last Sept for our 30th and had a great time.
Any advice or tips from others that go kidless?

Interesting! Thank you for this post. So if I book my next vacation before I check out, I will have free dining again next time?

I took your guys advice and I booked dining.. I haven't booked all my meals but nearly all of my sit down ones are done.. I have 2 free that I've not decided on
:coffee:

In no particular order:
Rose& Crown, Akershus, 50's Prime Time, Jiko, Boma, Kona & Ragland Road

Tags have yet to come -- I want them now! :snooty:

Oh yes and I got new shoes... Shhh don't tell my hubby! Comfy Timberlands for all the walking to go along with my Keens :woohoo: Oh yeah and a bathingsuit for the waterparks since I know sometimes bathing suits get mangled... teehee a girl must think ahead! ;)

I made a packing list in which my hubby rolled his eyes and laughed at me! I told him it was to ensure I don't overpack! he then was pleased

Someone make the time go faster please!

When we checked in last Sept, there was a flyer on the table with the offer. If you booked before you checked out, you were offered free dining. Arrival date had to be in Sept 08 but depart can be in Oct. They asked for $100 deposit. If you cancelled within 45 days of your trip, you got the deposit back. Also by booking, I got the 2007 rates for trip insurance, etc before they went up.
I hope the offer it again when we are there this Sept. But have heard it will be.:goodvibes

I really hope they offer this again, as this CANNOT be the only trip(to the World) we ever take!! DH might get on board. Trying to make a confert of him this time. Me? I would go every year. There is way too much that we will miss, even if we manage our time.

I've been reading these boards for awhile and finally decided to register and start posting. Been going to Disney for awhile, normally with my kids. Now they are older and in college and need to start socializing with others for my trips in the future. A co-worker (who has five kids) and I are going Aug 30 - Sept 6th without any of our kids (isn't that awesome!), staying at Pop Century. We also purchased tickets for the MNSSHP the night of Sept 5th.

This is my first time for the halloween party. Are most people in costume, or is it just the kids? Any good tips for this night?

Good ADR's.....Good job on getting them made!!!! Smart move......

Good move on the new shoes!!! I always take 2 pair of running shoes for all the walking.......very important to wear good shoes at the world!!!

Dont overpack!!! I was at Detroit airport picking my son up last week, I walked around to all the airline counters and read the luggage rules.......most were charging $100 for a bag that weighed over the 50lb limit......Also, most are now charging $15-25 for the first bag,
2nd bags are around $30....

:welcome: Welcome aboard!!! Your the kind of person who needs to be posting. We rookies wouldn't know anything if it wasn't for the vets of WDW!!

--Kidless at the World, Good for you!!

Never been to the party. I've seen lots of pics. It looks like everyone dresses the part. Go for it!

Yep, you can book anything as long as you do it before you check out.
DH does not want to go again after this trip, but I will book it anyway (if offered). I'm sure I will find someone to go with.
I was lucky with this trip. Paid for the room at CRB but have free dining and used my frequent flyer miles (thanks employer)so airfare was $10.00 for 2 rt. So this trip is only costing me the room for 6 days. This is a once in a lifetime deal. I don't travel that much anymore for work so don't forsee anymore free airfares. But will enjoy this time that much more.:yay:

I think you can book up to 3 rooms.
