Who's going September 2008?

You are right POR Rocks!!! We love it there, our all time favorite resort...we love the boat ride to DTD!!

Re: Busses -Why not rent a car for your trip?? We rent with Alamo....we can get a compact for $100 for the week....no lines for busses!!! Saves a lot time and it is so nice at the end of a long day to go to the car get in the air condtioning and be back to POR in 10-15 min. Instead of the 60-90 min. wait then ride on a hot, not so pleasant smelling bus!!!

The magical express is a nice option but if you do prepay with Alamo you can be out of the airport and on to the world in 20 minutes after picking up your luggage......IMO its well worth the $100!!
I hadn't really thought about that! I may look into a car now.

The past three trips, we've rented a car, and we'll have one this year too. We have stayed at CBR the past 3 times and I have loved having a car there. It is so uncrowded in September, that I'm usually parking in the 3rd or 4th row at the parks and it is GREAT. I also have a double stroller--so it is just wonderful to have a car and not be lugging that thing on the bus.

We do always take the bus to MK since it doesn't really save time to drive there, and it is a lot of on/off the monorail, the tram, and then to your car and with 2 little kids, I'd rather just pop on the bus.

You can get great rates on rental cars. check out mousesavers and click on rental car deals. there is usually a thread on the budget board too for codes. :wizard:

Thanks for the tip! I will check it out.

Hi everyone! We are going to be at POP 9/13 to 9/20. It's me, dh and our dd. We are celebrating her graduation from college. We were there last Sept. and did the bounce back (or whatever they call it) for this year. We love Sept in the parks, it's our favorite time to be in Disney. Hopefully they will offer it again this year because you get free dining when you book then too. This is the second year we did this. Hope this helps other people.

Congrats to your daughter on her graduation! We will be down there the same time and we were also there last September and had a blast! Maybe we will bump into each other!

I will be with DGS (4) on September 10-20 trip. We are staying at All Star Movies (Toy Story building requested). Have a great time everyone!

We also drove the last 2 times we were there and will do the same this Sept. If you can get the AAA diamond pass that gets you some good parking spaces, especially EPCOT and Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios a little further. You are right about MK that only gets you to the Transportation center then have to take the momo or boat so easier to take the resort bus and get to the front gate. We also take the car to the water parks and DTD.:cool1: :hippie:

I'm there twice in Sept. First is in Old Key West Sept 3 to 7 for the Pin convention. Then we come back on the 16th to the 21st and are staying at Pop Century.

My family (dh, ds-turning 4, and myself) will be at ASMovies from Sept. 19-28!!! With Free dining, of course! We even upgraded to DxDP! Argh...they will have to roll me home...ha! We are driving from the gulf coast in Alabama! Can't Wait!!!!:cool1:

We will be @ OKW the same time that you will be there. We will be there from 9-3/ to 9-18. Have a great trip.:cheer2: :yay:

I am in the process of updating the list. And I have hit the 1 month and 30 day mark, we are getting closer!

I still have so much to plan. Does anyone have a chart/sheet for daily planning, something that plans their Disney Day? I'm unsure of where to get started.... :surfweb:

Yes. We now have it set up in excel looking at our whole week. our parks are picked out for each day, and our ADRs are listed. Closer to the date, we'll change it to a word document where each day we have the time we leave for the bus... to when dinner is, what time the parade we want to get to is... everything. I find it easier to have everything planned out. If we go away from the plan... that's OK, but it is nice to have a real good idea of what you're doing. Especially with 7 people!:goodvibes

We will be there Aug 31 -Sept 5 and staying at POR. I am so excited to see my 2yo's face when she sees Cinderella's Castle. It is all she has been talking about.

See you all there.
