Who's going September 2008?

We will be at Wilderness Lodge September 2-8. Is anyone else just about to drive themselves crazy waiting for their trip? I want to start packing right now. Any ideas about things I can actually do right now, so I feel like I am working on SOMETHING for our trip? TIA! :)

We are going to be at Wilderness Lodge from September 14 -20. Well all my adr's are in place, my dh golf outings are in place and i signed my dd up for for tea with Alice. So now the waiting beginings but, I always prepare a little backpack full of disney items and little stuff that she thinks either a princess has left it or mickey has left it. So I have been buying things her and there for it. In fact today we are going to the disney storyand picking up some disney dollars for her. So once a week I will pick something up for her so that helps. I havent booked airfare yet so that has been keeping me busy with the prices going up and down.

I cant believe our trip is less than 2 months away   . I have also started thinking and trying to put into works my dd 5th birthday disney trip in May, 2009.

I started planning this trip while I was in WDW last Sept. I have all my adrs and my tickets for MNSSHP and my wishes boat trip. I have all the daily parks and ressies set up. I have my packing list. I now have nothing to do but wait for Sept. 13th. IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!

We're going to Disney World! We just booked All Star Music for 9/21-9/28. The resort may change to CBR or CSR when more rooms become available for AP discounts. I can't wait! Mickey Not so Scary Halloween Party here we come :dance3:

I can't wait to go:yay: , although I dont want to wish my summer away either.
My DH, DD3 and I will be going to WDW 8-30 to 9-13 and we have a lot started. Our toiletries are all packed. This includes everything from toothbrushes, paste, to travel cologne, waterless soap, and tums. We knew we'd need some new clothes...shorts, socks, Disney T's, so all of that is shopped for. For Father's day, one of things my DH got was sneakers. We also bought some ponchos from the dollar store.
We made a leaving list with things listed like turn off AC, lower HW heater, stop mail. Things like that. Of course all our meals are planned and our itinerary is in a nice little spreadsheet. Not as elaborate is some other DIS'ers, but it serves our purpose.

I hope that helps. Enjoy WL! We stayed there 2 years ago and absolutely loved it!!

You are not alone! I too am going crazy waiting! My cousin and I made up index cards with our park for the day, list of which attractions to hit, and ADR info and laminated them. she's done hers, but Im still playing around with it, I feel like when I am done that I will REALLY be going crazy because I will be done with everything, when is it too soon to pack??? I have read that a few people have started packing already, maybe that will have to be my next step! then my family will think Im nuts:dance3: for sure!

I don't see many other people going at the time I'm going! Maybe that means it won't be crowded!

I can't beleive we will be in Disney in about a month. I'm anxious for it to be here, but I'm sad to see the summer slip away. I wish the winter went just as fast.:confused3

I am trying to pack light for my trip... thinking do laundry mid trip... I always over pack. :rotfl: I am challenging myself. Pack it into a suitcase that can be carried on then transfer that to a larger case so there's room for stuff bought! :lmao:

Tell me... being that the crowds aren't too crazy how detailed do you think I need to be with my planning in the beginning of Sept.

I have a list indicating what parks are open early/late... gone through crowd predictions and the whatnot.. but beyond that I am leaving it pretty open.

How detailed do you all get?

:woohoo: I love posting and seeing my ETA getting smaller each day! :cheer2:

We are going early Sept too. Sept. 3-9  We usually just plan what park we are going to on which day. Then we arrive at park opening & hit the headliners.... save the things with a/c or shows for about 11'ish..then leave the parks about noon'ish...go back to the parks in the late afternoon.

Congrats on the final payment j-jhall. Mine is due on 8/6 & I still have to book my flights:scared1: I guess I'd better get busy & book them this week.

Thanks! Yeah, you might want to get those flights booked. I am notorious for getting things done way ahead of time.

Looks like we will be leaving POR the same day you arrive at POFQ!

I know I'm not Tigger3 but I looked at our schedule and I think I might be able to get over to POR with my DIS sis at the start of your DIS meet. I penciled it in our spreadsheet! :grouphug:

We have Biergarten at 5:30 so it would be a quick visit if we can do it. (I'll have a car so it should be possible...)

How detailed do you all get?

I usually write down on our spreadsheets what time to leave the room to walk to the bus. Is that too detailed? :lmao: :rotfl:

I have now become Disney obsessed, I can't even concentrate at work and I think I am driving DH crazy! We have done itinerary's for 2 of our days (my OCD is coming out) but I have had to shuffle two of my ADR's around which is a pain since everything is so booked up. But I have a great TA who is on the ball. I just cancelled my hopper passes, realized wasn't doing any hopping, haha. So I just wait. I would be curious to check out a copy of someone's index cards if they didn't mind. I'm not sure how I am going to condense all of my info and I would love to see your format.

I have a few general questions if anyone could help? Do you need a hopper to go from a park to DTD? Has anyone gotten internet at POP, how does the 24 hours for 10 bucks work? Does it start at a certain time and end at the same time. Or is it by day? Thank you et Merci!

Sooo, when should I start packing :) 46 more days! :yay:

Welcome to our club of addition..... Hi my name is justplaingoofy and Im a disneyholic:rolleyes1

Glad to hear you were able to save some $ by not needing the hopper. You do not need any park admission to dtd to get in, therefore you do not need a hopper. You only need admission if you are going to P.I. or Disney Quest in which case you would need the water parks n'more and the hoppers still wouldn't come into play.:)

I keep a small box filled with my "disney stuff" (bottle clips, ponchos, travel size items, refillable mugs ..just kidding..wrote that to see if you were paying attention..
When we go we only do 1 carry on bag so we don't pack a huge amount.
Hope you have a magical trip:wizard: we'll be there in 42 days! :woohoo:
