Whos going NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2009??

Hi..
I would also love to go to MVMCP..I have seen some pics but never been. :(
We did the MNSSHP in 2007 and loved it. :)

Anyone have a link to pictures of the MVMCP thread-if there is one??????

I have lots of pics in mine.....the show I just posted is the MVMCP show but during Christmas week anyone can see it along w/ everything else the party offers at no extra charge. It snows every night. Parade runs every single day...it's nice. In the older trip report I have pics too. We went in '06 too. Look how cute all the characters dress at the AK! I loved that!

THAT would be COOL! When will you know for sure!?

Well, all I have to do is give the word to everyone and BAM!!! It will be changed! I really think we are definately going to do that!! It was cheaper than our dates in November, even with an extra day to boot!!!!

So.......Nov. 30th through Dec. 6th!!!

WHOO HOOO for Heather coming!!!!! Thats so flipppin awsome! :D

Tammy ur talking about NOT purchasing the MVMCP tickets -right..I was a lil confused..sorry. :)

We might go. But no matter what I can use the AP to get you cheaper tix. So don't buy anything in advance. It's cheaper to get 'em w/ our AP discount.

I finalized my dates! I am going from Dec. 6th-13th!! I was also looking for information on the Very Merry Christmas party...if anyone has any. I know it is really early!:santa:

whoo hoo Tiff :) I have never been when the decorations were up, so I am so excited. :)

I just took one night off the end of our stay so that the kids will only miss 5 days of school...so we are NOV 29th- Dec 5th. (saved us some cash too) :goodvibes

I am so excited to go! I have never been around the holidays! I have only seen pictures of the decorations! I was wondering how cold it gets there in December...I got passes with water parks included...will it be hot enough?

I just went the week before Xmas and it was very hot! But the week before that and the week after were way cold. It just depends. I have a lot of Holiday pics in my most recent report if ya wanna take a look. I'll add some scans of the party flyers and such to my current PTR when I get back home. That can help ya'll plan things out. It's about the same every year. :goodvibes There was one Epcot day where the park looked like a ghost town! That was a strange night. That's the slowest I have ever seen Disney!

Wanted to say HI!

We are booked for Nov 28 thru Dec 4th at the Contemporary! This is the week after Thanksgiving, and we went in 2007 at the same time. It was fantastic and our first holiday trip to Disney. Everything was up and running, totally beautiful. The crowds were modest, until the end of the week when they filmed the parade (we just hopped to another park until later in the day). Other than that, no real waits, we walked right onto most rides.

I think it's my favorite trip of all time.

Hoping Disney releases the MVMCP dates in May. I have found people with mixed views on the party, but I will say it's what you make of it.. we had our Christmas hats, dressed in red sweaters and totally cheery,, we really got into it, and we hated to leave.

I do have a summer trip to DIsney planned for my daughter's bday, and I am excited for that too.. but how I wish November would roll around!!

Glad to see so many other people share my excitement for a holiday trip!! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! That is so sweet of you! I have been to Disney so many times but just never this time of year so that is why I am a little nervous. I will definitely take a look at your report. Did you go to Disney's Very Merry Christmas party?

we went the week of Thanksgiving in 2007--all decorations were up. The OL are part of DHS so there is no extra charge--it can get crowded though
we have just in the planning stages of a thanksgiving trip for 2009!! can't wait:cool1:

Yes we did. We also went to it in 2006 (on another trip report). It's about the same every time. The parade is great! The show in Tomorrowland is wonderful! The "snow" on Main Street is beautiful. Our favorite thing of all though was the Osborne Lights at DHS. That was gorgeous!

I have a question...
Disney has not always lit up the castle with lights for Christmas, that just started a few years back right? So does that mean that they may be "tighting there belts" and skip the lights on the castle this year?? I sure hope not...I have been wanting to see that since the first picture I ever seen of it.

That's one of the busiest times of the year. I seriously doubt they'd PO a bunch of people at a sold out time. But I'd never put it past them either! I just posted my holiday castle pics. It was gorgeous!

We will be going Nov 29-Dec 3rd staying at the Polynesian for the first time! I cant wait and am also hoping for low crowds.

We switched hotels, now we will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge Club Level. It looks like there will be a few of us staying there. I cant wait to see the Wilderness Lodge decorated for the holidays! :goodvibes

We should know in late Oct.. when we were there in Late Oct 08, we could see the light strings on the castle and also in DHS where they do the Osbourne lights. Of course they weren't on, but you couldn't miss the light strings (and that just made me crazy to book another Holiday trip, lol).

I wouldn't think they would skimp on the lights,, it's truly magical how they make the castle look like it's frosted over with ice.
