Who's going in October and what are you planning?

We will be at WDW Oct 27-31st.
We have been this time of year before and will definitely be doing F&W along with MNSSHP.
Our "new" thing for this trip will be staying at BLT and watching the fireworks from the Top of the World lounge!
We will be leaving DL tommorrow and am already looking forward to this trip in Oct.!

My wife and I are taking a cash trip on the Disney Wonder (4nights) and then spending debarkation day at Epcot. We'll be spending 1 night at BWV in a 1BR and hitting MNSSHP.

Can't wait!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Just finished booking the Keys to the Kingdom tour. A first also.

Wanted to book NSSHP but the tickets are non-refundable. Just worried in case I have to cancel. Will give it a few days to think about it. I can always do it another time. I have a few firsts lined up already.

Call right away. The Haunted Carriage Rides are being sold as we speak. I booked 2 weeks ago and while I got the evening I wanted, didn't get the time I wanted.

Can't believe I've never heard of this.....what is the Haunted Carriage and how much?? Thanks!

Boy, it looks like a lot of us are going to be at BLT at the same time. Don't want to get anything going as far as a meet but I will wear my green ribbon and if you see me please stop me and say hi.....smjj

Alot of us will be on property at the same time! :thumbsup2 But you know, I never see any lime green ribbons! Ever since I found this site some 10 years ago I always look and never see any. This year I'll look extra hard! :)

We arrive on the 26th of October for 14 nights and are staying in SSR. We are going to eat at our fav restaurant California Grill, we have ADR's all over the 'World' and plan to Spa, eat our own body weight each day and enjoy some Florida October sunshine!

October 16th-24th for us. Probably WL. Still deciding. We are doing MNSSHP, Party for the Senses, F&W, Harry Potter and Halloween Horror Nights. It is our 14th anniversary. Not making too many reservations until we see the F&W events in July:) Trying to get our friends to come for a long w/e too.

Have you booked your room yet PatriciaH? You better make a decision soon. it is getting full everywhere.

My apologies. Since it's our first time.... what kind of events will come out in July? I know I saw the guests for the concerts and I caught my son looking at some wine tasting things, etc. Anything else we need to know besides the MNSSHP?

I have only made two restaurant reservations and one tour. Don't want to have to be somewhere too many times.

We do a Cast Discount and there is still a lot open so far;) Will probably hold something next week.

Around July, the F&W brochure/guide comes out. It has all of the special events (PFTS, dinners, wine tastings, etc.) and the dates you can book. Last year TIW holders could book wine and food tastings ahead of time as well for a small fee-$5-8pp. To see some of the past events:

We're staying at AKV-Jambo October 2-9. The primary purpose of the trip is EPCOT's F&W.....so we'll be at EPCOT four straight evenings (M-TH). Hopefully we can meet a few of our fellow DIS'ers along the way!

You know that is true but one time about 4 years ago there was a big DIS meet scheduled and I was active in the thread. Our trip was one in which I was unable to join in on the activities but I ran into a bunch at MGM(Disney studios now) and talked with them a few minutes. That was nice to finally put faces with the usernames you see online everyday....smjj

I got it! Thanks Patricia. So this is what my son was looking at but did not realize it was for 09. Do these book and fill quickly? TIA.

Can't believe I've never heard of this.....what is the Haunted Carriage and how much?? Thanks!

It's a horse drawn carriage ride over at Fort Wilderness. The cost is $60 per carriage (up to 4 adults and/or 2 adults and 3 children) It's a half hour ride through the woods and does the story of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It looks awesome. Wasn't able to book it through MS though. I don't know if it was an issue at MS or not, but I called 407-939-7529. You do have to pay the $60 at the time of the booking.

DD23 & myself going Oct 9-17. Staying at AKV.
5 nights - Jambo Concierge, 3 nights - Kidani Savana View.

Four days at Epcot/F&W. Going to PFTS on Oct 16. Also anxiously awaiting for the paid events to be released. Hoping to book a few.

IOA and HP land one day.

One non-park day that includes the GF Tea and Jellyrolls at night (both will be a first time experience).

Our big treat is the Sunset Safari with dinner at Jiko. Can't wait for that one.

We have been in the spring twice and Oct twice. We much prefer Oct. ;)

Thank you so much for that information!!

Count me in. I'm going TWICE in October.

First trip, Sep. 29-Oct. 5. We will be there for the start of F&W. This is our trip to catch up with our friends who will be there also. We have alot of catching up to do. We are actually booked on a FD BB we booked last year, but I've recently had second thoughts and have booked a room at Kidani also. I have a little time to decide which we want to do, free dining for our last time (we actually have the good one, value, basic ddp, 1 day ticket) and save our points for our big one month trip in January 2012, or cancel the FD, and save a little money and stay at Kidani. Pros and Cons on both sides!

Second trip, Oct. 31-Nov. 12. We are at BLT-2 bedroom standard, for 4 nights. Us and both daugthers and husbands and all grandchildren. Celebrating my retirement from the USG-30 years. On Nov. 4 we all take the 3 days cruise (part free from my add on @ BLT). We return back on Nov. 7, and the kids all go home, but we are staying another 5 nights at the BCV. We will get to celebrate at F&W again for the end of the event, plus still be able to get in on some of the Christmas activities too, like the Osboure lights. We don't do the parties anymore and could've done both during this trip, but the price has gotten too out of hand for us. Lots of meals planned and hopefully book some of the F&W activities. Look forward to some of the concerts at EPCOT too!

DW and I will be at BWV 10-29 to 11-7. Celebrating our 28th anniversary at the Bluezoo on the 30th. Looking forward to F&W and margaritas from La Cava del Tequila!!

We will be there October 23rd through the 30th.
We are DVC members and are treating our neighbors and good friends to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village.
Our plans: Fireworks Cruise on the 23rd
Ohana on Sunday evening
EPCOT on Monday
Day at the pool on Tuesday and Thursday
MK on Wednesday and some DHS
Friday at Pick-A-Park (everyone’s choice)
Thursday we are going to MNSSHP for the first time.

Can’t wait.
