Mommy Boo, can you change the Ergens to the Swan for Sept 30-Oct 2. We got an amazing rate (DH is a state govt employee) so we have moved over there. Thank a bunch! You are wonderful!

Anybody going to Party for the Senses Oct 1?

Got it! Congrats on the great rate!

We just got an email from a family member who may be joining us for part of our trip. So our plans may be shifting some. Not too much though, we are not going commando style at all this trip with a 20 month old along. We and my sil (the emailer) have been enough where we can go at a laid back pace. So, while we have a tentative schedule, we're very flexible.

My DD was 21 months on our trip last year. She's a late talker but had 2 new words on that trip "moon" because it was a full moon when were there and she doesn't do a lot of walking around in the dark at home. She wasn't home 5 minutes when she ran over to her books and pulled one out with a moon. And her other word was "WOW". She loved the fountains at Epcot-especially at night. A friend of mine said she always had that word tucked away but had just never been wowed before. :rotfl2:

That's just a sweet story!! How very precious!!

I've been on the Tshirt site for days now, and I'm thinking of printing some shirts for our CRT visit, and bday shirts for mom and dd... I just want to find the perfect shirts, not the men's hanes tshirts...

Thanks for the "Flower Power" suggestion... I'm thinking DD8 will be a Princess, and I think my mom and I want to be Queen, and Queen mum!! I'm just hesitant with the weather being an unknown factor, so I'll probably throw in jeans and tie dyes to change us "royal costumers" if need be...

Isn't that thread incredible!

I just made Incredibles T's for our family for DH's birthday. I bought mine at Old Navy. I wasn't able to get plain white ones but got white T's with red binding on the neck and sleeves. They actually look quite nice. I used all boys shirts for my 2 DD's and DS. Those were coated with some stain shield thing and the transfers look just as good on those as the adult T's without the stain shield and I was able to rinse the chocolate ice cream right off my DS's shirt. :teeth: A friend of mine told me to try BJ's for nice quality T's.

As far as weather-we didn't need anything other T's most nights on our trip last year or in 2002 but I guess you just never know. I think for CRT during the day/morning you'd be fine in just T but at night you might need something more.

I can't wait to see what I can WOW my DD who will be 33 months in Oct with. She used to only listen to Small World in the car (I think from her trip at 11 months). So I'm anxious to show her the new Small World as it was closed last year. I'm hoping she'll still like it because she's all tomboy! She loved the Mexico ride last year-those silly movie clips and the fireworks.

That's a great idea. I'm not real cleaver about these things...so, do you just buy the T-shirt and buy a iron on transfer at the store? Then, bingo, new shirt? Or do you print something off of the computer on special paper?

Thanks for the idea, I was at Gap Outlet store, and I think I'll get them for $5 each!!

I'm still checking on the procedure, I have a word document that I've been "cut and "pasting" hints etc on that thread, but its at home!! At my home computer I have all kinds of "paint" programs... so I had thought that it would be relatively easy to click on a picture that would work for us, than use the "save as..." option to save to my computer - then tweak, or add our names... using a paint program...

I have to buy transfer paper, I know several places that will have it, from a Michaels, to Walmart - in the computer paper aisle...

I plan on tweaking the picture, then printing it on regular paper, fitting it on the shirt I plan to buy... then putting in the transfer paper, and print... (oh, my dad has a color printer, I dont, so at home I'd have to have dh print it at work, or take it to kinko's and use a color printer, but my dad doesnt have a program to tweak with!!).... Now I figure this part out today!!

Children are so amazing! Just when you thought you had a grasp of everything in the world they come along and "wow" you with their own experiences. There is nothing like the light in a child's eyes when they see Disney for the first time!

We are going to wear Haunted Mansion T-shirts that say "Have a Nice Fright" I got them the last time we were down. They are very funny. www.laughingplace.com has them in their online store too if you want to order them. It is the same price w/ tax that we paid in the park and their shipping is very reasonable.

Awww, that's so sweet!

Well, I got a call from my MIL this morning. She asked what dates we were going to Disney? That's how my sil's email started out. Hmmmmm. Methinks I'm gonna be making some serious ADR changes. :confused3

Welcome to the Dis and the October thread! We were there the same time as you in 2003 and did not find it to be very crowded. Although I have read that this is becoming a more popular time of year with the Halloween parties and the Fodd and Wine Festival.

Welcome to the thread! Where are you staying and what night are you doing MNSSHP?

Thanks! We joined the DIS last year and attended the Food & Wine and our 1st MNSSHP. We originally were going to vacation in Mexico last week, but had to cancel due to the hurricane. So, nothing cheers you up more than a last minute booking to Disney. We just booked yesterday and are staying at PO Riverside(our 4th time there). We have not booked our MNSSHP yet, as I am looking to find out which dates are sold out.
