Hey! October can't get here fast enough! We'll be there Oct 3rd thru the 9th staying at ASM. It'll be our son's FIRST trip and our daughter's 2nd!! (Ages 3 and 6 respectively, but will be 4 and 7 when we take our trip).

I'm not that crazy about Halloween, so I don't think we'd enjoy MNSSHP. Do the parks close early for MNSSHP, or will we still be able to stay? Also, I'm really looking forward to Spectromagic and was wondering if it will still be on the schedule during MNSSHP. Anyone know from previous years? I'm anxious for the park hours and parade schedule to be posted!

I went last year Fri 10/22 to Fri 10/29 and the only day they had Spectro Magic was Sat at 8 and again at 10pm. Magic Kingdom was open til 11PM on Sat but nights with MNSSHP it closed at 6pm (you have to leave if you don't have a ticket) and other nights it closed at 7:30. I don't know what they'll do this year with the EMH offering evening hours.

We went to the party last year and had a great time but I don't know if we'll do it again. My kids were 5 1/2, almost 4, and 20 months. We didn't go into the parks that day and then the day after the party the 2 younger ones were tired and cranky so they left the parks around noon. I felt like we sort of "wasted" 2 park days just to go the party but my DS(4) was talking about Disney last week and he said what he wants to most on our next trip is sit in the cars at the showroom after Test Track and go trick or treating again at MK (he didn't even eat that much of the candy). So now I'm undecided. Last year we did dinner at CP before the party and it felt like we were rushed getting dressed up after dinner and picking a spot for the parade. We LOVED CP but we'll save that for another day and if we go the party this year I think we'll stick to counter service dinner and plan on relaxing days before & after the party but not stay out of the park completely on the day of the party. And I am NOT a Halloween person either but the party really was a lot of fun. And its fun to see the park all decorated for the special event.

Anyone know when they post the "Lunch & Learn" and "Party of the Senses" schedules? I want to sign up for a few of them asap so I know what days to plan which parks and activities. I have heard some sell out quickly. TIA for any heads up :Pinkbounc

Ocotber hurry up and get here!

We are waiting for the Vertical Tastings to be released and they are usually released at the end of June/first of July. I would expect the same of the Lunch and Learns. I keep an eye on Deb's site for such updates.

:cool1: Just got my tickets :flower:

I've paid airfare, then heard on the news that airlines are starting to add $10 - $30 surcharge for gasoline tax... I think they can add that even if you've already purchased your tickets? :confused3

I've paid for my room :wizard: and hope to bank some of that when codescome out :wizard:

Only thing left is spending money for food!! :cheer2:

Well ok, going to have to buy the MNSSHP tickets, wondering if I will want more than one night at this? :3dglasses

I don't think they can do that, how would they bill someone for that? I think it will be a going forward deal so I"m sure we are safe :teeth:

We'll be there Oct. 30-Nov. 11! I can't wait, this is the first time in several years we're only taking one trip to WDW. We love the F&WF. Last year we went to several of the wine tasting seminars and really learned a lot.

We will be at OKW October 1-6. Planning on the MNSSHP on the 4th. There will be 7 of us. Me and my sister are the only ones to have done the party before. Looking forward to enjoying it with the other 5. :flower:

I was soooo hoping the tix would be out April 1st. Guess we are looking at May 1st like last year! Anyone have any inside info? ;)

DH and I were going cleaning out the basement (ugh!) last night and came across our MNSSHP tickets from last time! :cool1: I can't wait to order this year's tickets!

Wow, considering all these posts maybe October is not going to be a less crowded time to go! :rotfl:

Wow! I thought we'd be the only ones in October!! :rotfl: We will be there from 9-25-10-12. Part of the time staying offsite and then at POR AB. I'm looking forward to my DD(3 1/2) hopefully getting to hug Cinderella. princess: Last year the closest she came to Cindy was at the Cinderellabration Show. It broke my heart on the way home when she said" I never did get to give Cinderella a hug". :sad2: Any suggestions on how to get that coveted hug from Cindy?? :lovestruc

TNKBell, if your DD wants a hug from Cinderella, your best bet is to book a character meal at 1900 Park Fare for dinner. Cinderella will be there as well as the mice, Prince Charming, and the Fairy Godmother. Your DD is more likely to get more attention from the characters at 1900 than at CRT.

For Cinderella we have had luck at the Princess Breakfast in Norway as well as in the Judges tent in the MK. We have run into he much more the last couple of trip than we did in all our previous trips combined.
