Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

I go to Universal's HHN every year, I was just wondering how MNSSHP compares...I mean I can assume the obvisous and say that MNSSHP is probably more kid friendly, but can anyone tell me what activites they have and how it works. Sorry for all the questions, I would just really aprreciate it if someone could help me out with this. Thanks!!

Oh, they are quite different! HHN is for adults and very scary! MNSSHP is for the family and quite tame.

MNSSHP has the Boo to You Parade shown twice (only place to see it), Fireworks at 9:15p (Fantasy in the Sky), free souvenir photo, Trick or Treating, lots of characters, storytelling, great decorations (only place to see them) and music and a great festive atmosphere. And of course, the rides from 7:00 to Midnight as well!

Most kids shouldn't be afraid at MNSSHP but at HHN, that's certainly NOT the case! Totally different!

We are trying to nail down our dates and are pretty certain we will be there October 15 - October 22. DD will turn 4 on October 18 (sole reason for waiting until October to go). I would leave this afternoon if that was an option. This will be a 1st time trip for DD; 6th for me and 3rd for DH.

I have read way too much on all of the Disney websites .. still trying to decide which resort to stay in. We can't decide between POP, ASMo or POFQ. We would love to stay at a moderate and think POFQ would be the right size for us ..

Also trying to decide what to schedule on DD's birthday. We are thinking Bkfst at Cindy's ...

Any thoughts or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

TIA-
Sarah :earsgirl:

Thanks for your help BeattyFamily. I guess I will try to squeez both parks in this October...I love MK and I know holidays are extra magical.:flower3:

I'm getting so anxious!! I can't wait to find out if MNSSHP tickets go on sale on Sunday !!

As for the free pictures, I am paying for 7 tickets, how many pictures can I get taken?
I don't want 7 different one's but I will have my babysitter wit us and I want one of just the family, one with her in it and one with just her. Can I do this? Also we get two copies of each picture, right??

Some have had success with different poses but not always; there's no guarantee on that. Ask when you get in line. You only get ONE photo per ticket. You can, however, have each photo sent to a different address.

We went with our niece and had one photo taken but had 3 go to us and 2 go to her address.

I called Disney again today and he had NO clue when the dates or tickets would be released.

My mom, dad and I are going October 24-30, with two nights at MNSSHP. It'll be my dad's first time at WDW and I'm so excited to show him everything, I know he'll just love it!

We'll be staying at Pop Century for two days and The Polynesian Resort for the rest of our stay. (I <3 The Poly.)

I'm most excited about making my costume(s?) for the trip. :) I'm drawing up designs now and I'll start buying fabrics and thread and such in a few weeks.

Are the character meals during MNSSHP any diferent, besides the character's in costume. We are thinking of doing LTT the night we go. Has anyone been on a MNSSHP night (like I really had to ask :rotfl2: ). Also what time is a good time to get a PS for this so we do not miss anything.

TIA

We ate at LTT Halloween night before MNSSHP.
The characters and CMs are in Halloween garb. The CMs look like death warmed over -- literally! :rotfl:
I think I made PS' for 5:20.

Wow, that's great that you're making your own costume! :flower:

As most of you probably have read by now, there are new additions to the Dining package! Disney has not updated their site yet, but UG has theirs updated. Many more choices! YEA!!!
