Yeah, I know it's early but humor me....I am stuck in the house on this snowy, gray day and dreaming of FW big time. :cloud9: Just wondering who else is planning to be there for the holidays this year. We have to have a get together (maybe a couple so we can see everyone) and take our picture on the porch. I also thought this would be a good reminder for those thinking about going then to get on the phone and keep trying to get your ressies !! :thumbsup2

:santa: We will be there from Dec 22-Jan 3 :santa:

Early????? Hmmmm, I've had my site booked since October. 19th - 31st. :cool1:

We are going to be there December 4th and stay for about 9 nights. Seems so far away.

Hi! we're 12/21-12/30. I am also trying to extend it to 1/2, but we're thrilled to be spending Christmas at FW for the 1st time!:goodvibes

Won't make it in Dec but we are booked the second week of january and looking forward to some great relaxing time.

Jim

Dec 22-30 for us. :cool1: This is my first FW Christmas trip since I was 9 years old! I'm looking forward to sharing that magic with my own kids.

Hello to all the "Fort Wilderness Holiday Regulars!" My family just upgraded to a Class C Winnebago. Imagine how excited I was to call Disney to arrange a Holiday visit for 2008. WRONG!! Never knew it was soooo difficult to obtain a reservation at FW. I suspect that all of you DID know this!! Do you have any advice for a Newcomer-in-Search-of-a-Reservation like me? (We've been to Disney many times... including over the holidays... just not FW.) I understand that I need to keep calling and hope for a cancellation, but can anyone tell me: Is there a better day of the week to try calling? Have any of you been successful in doing this? What are my odds? Maybe I need to contact the Fairy Godmother for pixie dust. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! And on the off chance that I can score a reservation, I'd love to meet some of you! Thanks.

I'll be there late December and you can't have my site! :lmao:
Really though, keep trying. We got in last year within two months of the dates we wanted. I checked the WDW website several times a day and always called first thing in the morning. I got my ressie, but I did notice that as we got closer to leaving, more and more sites opened up. I say plan like you have that ressie, and keep trying until you do :thumbsup2

If you are going to go to down there even if you can't get in at FW then I would suggest making alternative reservations. I've heard Tropical Palms is a nice campground as a back up. Just be sure to cancel the plans as soon as you get your fort ressie so other people can use it. :thumbsup2 Then just keep trying at FW. Even if you can only book one day and build from there. Lots of people book the holidays in hopes they can make it and then have to cancel.
