Who's going in July???

We are going July 15-22. Really hoping everything at CA is up and running. A little nervous about the crowds. We usually go to DW in June so we are used to pretty big crowds just not sure what to expect. Our only other DW trip was in March 2005. Can't wait!!!!

I'm confident everything in Disney California Adventure will have been completed and opened prior to your visit.

It will be busy, but if you plan to be at the gates when they open, and in the park when it's closing you can avoid a lot of the crowds. Use FP very well for the big attractions and you can get a lot in over a week.

We are going to be there the same time!

It is crowded in the summer but no unbearable...we always go for New Years EVE and figure if we can survive that , we can survive the summer crowds

We have been to DW in June twice and think that the crowds and weather are sooo much better in the summer at DL. Although it will be busy, the park is better in the morning and then seems to be better after fireworks in the evening.

During the day if it gets to hot or crowded then we plan to go back to the hotel for a swim and relax then we are refresed and ready for the parks again!

I was hoping we would be safe for Carsland in mid-July. Hopefully we are both right. We will be at the parks at opening and then take a mid day break so the 4 and 5 year old boys can get a nap. I am looking forward to that socal weather versus Orlando in the summer. Hopefully less humidity will help everyone's energy up.

We are!!! We"ll be in the parks the 17th thru the 20th. Only four days this trip. Last Summer we went the third week in June and it wasn't nearly as crowded as I thought it would be. I think it'll be crazy this July because of Carsland, but I'm okay with that. At this point, with teenagers, we just hit what we really want to see, and don't worry about getting "everything" done. I'm happy just being there, and taking it all in!

Me!! DH and I are planning on being there in July. My original dates I planned were the 19th to the 24th. (that is what the ticker below is set for) but am now considering going the 15th to the 21st or so. We are going to be having our 21st anniversary in the most magical place on Earth! We were there last summer with the kids (DH and kids first trip, my 2nd (mine was 20+ years ago)). DH, is HOOKED! We were planning for this year, before we even left last year!! I would love it Cars was open, but I am not counting on it. I am excited for DH to ride the Matterhorn, as it was down for refurb last year.

We are going July 29, 30, 31, and August 2nd so excited!!! We will be there for my daughters 3rd birthday. I know it will be crowded but we are planning on lots of breaks.

We are going for the week of July 22- 6 nights. We always go in July and love it! We get there at opening, park hop, and take an afternoon nap in our room. Then back for more in the evening. It is crowded, but not insane like over the holidays. With Carsland opening, I don't know if it will be more crowded than usual, or just DCA. Hard to guess the crowds for something like that.

I just booked our hotel room for our Disney trip July 23rd and 24th. It will be a part of our 2 week family vacation. My hubby and I went in July of 2008 and it was pretty crowded. I was use to it but it was hubby's first trip and he was not a fan. He says he's being dragged back against his own free will. He'll get over it. This will be my son's first trip and my parents will be with us. It will be especially emotional for me because my Dad has lung cancer and it means a lot to me for him to witness Dean's first trip to D-land.

July 30 - August 2 at VGC and 1 night at HOJO before we head to San Diego. It's the first DLR trip for all of us.

Hoping for a July trip...Not sure exact dates yet, as dd is graduating from 8th grade this year...and have to wait and see when high school starts. I want to go as late as possible to ensure that Ca Adventure will have all the new stuff open...we'll see.

I didn't check the DLR calendar for your dates, but I like July over June because Socal AP are blocked, gradnights are done, summer is in full swing, and this year I hope DCA will be finished by July. This is why we picked the July 22-27th. I'm a teacher and have to go back to work the second week of Aug so that was the latest I could do.

We are going that same week. In the parks wednesday through Friday. So excited. We have our air, hotel and park tickets already bought/reserved. We are staying at the RI Maingate in a pentouse suite

Looks like the latest Al Lutz rumor is that all the DCA renovations will be done by the third week of June. Sounds like mid July will be just right.

We'll be there too. DS will be on Catalina Island for the week with Boy Scouts. DH and I get some time to ourselves. Grew up in Burbank but living in Colorado now. We used to spend a lot of time at Disneyland. It's been awhile since we've been back. We are really looking forward to it, it's fun to get to be a "kid" again !

DS not to happy....oh well !!!!
