I usually see all kinds of posts for July vacations, and unless I am not looking in the right spot, I don't see one...

Well I will kick this off in case there is not one - I am going July 21- 28th staying in a 2BR at OKW! I have not stayed there and I am worried it will be as much walking as in Saratoga... Any insight is appreciated!

PS - if there is a thread please point me in the right direction! THANKS!

9 nights split at:

BCV (July 21-28)
AKV (July 28-30)

We have stayed at OKW once, and without even requesting, were put in a great building right by the main house, shops, food, etc. It was a great area. The resort did look large, like Saratoga. We don't mind walking, so anywhere would've been fine, but if you don't like walking....then you might want to make a request.

Have a great time!

We also have ADRs made for almost every evening....we could possibly run into you if you do as well.

We will be there at the same time. 2 nights at POFQ before checking into Bay Lake Tower from 7/21-7/28. 20 of us in 2-two bedroom villas and 1-studio.

We will be at Bay Lake Towers from July 18-27! Do you know if there are any meets for that week? I am new here :)

We are going in July too!:cool1: There will be 16 of us in two 2 bedroom villas at BLT from July 26-30th. This will be our first visit as DVC members, so we can't wait! Our teenage kids are taking friends with them, and we're also taking my sisters and their families, so it should be a lot of fun!

I have never stayed at OKW, but we love SSR and don't mind walking. We have gone to Disney the last four years in late July/ early August. This year we are going mid- July before our AP's expire. We love spending time at the pools and water parks, and love being there in the summer.

3 nights BLT and 5 at SSR. First BLT stay and can't wait:woohoo:

We will be in a 2BR at BWV from July 21st-28th. We often stay at OKW and love it. We enjoy walking to Downtown Disney from OKW. My son says going to FL in July is like driving into the sun. A perfect time to spend at the pool. I am sure you will love OKW too.

We check in BLT on July 29th for 5 nights, but I'm trying to arrange the week before at different resorts (to check off my list) to extend our vacation.

Hopefully the AP rates will be good!:goodvibes

See you in July!:thumbsup2

okw has large rooms. It does has some walking but not as much as SSR.
We just booked for Broadwalk for the first week of July. It is to celebrate my b-day:cool1:

We are thinking about going in July. We currently have reservations for BW and BLT.. I am just so worried about the heat. Please tell me its doable? :confused3

It's very doable.

Mornings and evenings are your best friends. Drink water, even when you don't think you're thirsty, drink water.

Noon-about 5pm are for taking it easy @ pool, inside resorts or shows, or taking the elusive nap and letting the afternoon showers pass by.

You'll have a blast!

Considering going July 1st through the 8th. We can get good flights cheap right now for that week and kicking the idea of going with MIL and our two nieces from Canada. It's a lot of points for a week and I'm trying to decide if fighting the crowds and points are worth it. Plus my MIL doesn't get around the best.

If we do it my thoughts are to hit the parks for the first 3 hours then back to the resort to swim/rest or go to water parks. We have never done the water parks and the kids want to try them. Then back to park at night. Would utilize TIW (except for the 4th of course).

Do they do special fire works for the 4th?

I am back and forth on if I should pull the trigger and book everything???? I hate tough decisions like this  :confused3
