Just made ressies for myself, DH, and 4 DDs (2,3,6,9) at Grand Floridian for Jan 26 - 31. DH & I will celebrate our 13th anniversary on the 27th.

Me, DH and 2 DS's (6 and 7) are planning on arriving Jan 16 for 9 or 10 days. Right now I have CS for the first part and then YC for the end. However, I am really leaning towards switching the CS for the Poly - I would love to be on the monorail for a few days and I think my boys would love the Neverland Club.

We will be there from Jan.26-Feb.2. Myself, DH, and DD. It's our DD 5th b-day and this trip is a suprise for her!! I can't wait to see the look on her face when we tell her! We aren't sure where we are staying, waiting for the codes or AP rates. Can't decide yet, either GF(our favorite)or YC concierge(never been). Wish me luck, I will be 7mo pregnant at that time!!

Hi all you early January DISers. Here is a post that you might be interested in. It started on the DVC board (with this same subject title) but is by no means exclusive to DVC. We have about 20 spots remaining at this moment.

Event description:
Private and unobstructed Illuminations viewing on Friday, January 3, 2003, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., with Disney catered treats and the company of other folks from the DIS board community.

Event details:
Menu: Old World Classics in Miniature (chocolate and pistachio cannoli, fresh fruit tartlet, vanilla cream filled pastry horns, chocolate eclairs, orange marmalade roulade, Italian style ricotta cheesecake, chocolate pecan pies), coffee, decaffeinated coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate.
Setting: UK Upper terrace, with wrought iron tables and chairs.
Organizers: DIS (and DVC) members Maddy and Janner, volunteering on a strictly break-even basis.

Cost per person:
22.50 for desserts, beverages, and private viewing location
1.35 for 6% tax
4.50 for 20% gratuity (required by Disney Catering)
1.80 for event guide cast member (required by Disney Catering)
30.15 per person total
ADDED NOTE: We are already up to 30 confirmed (paying) registrants. We needed at least 24 to meet our minimum financial obligation to Disney Catering, which is $700, so we have met that!

Caveats:
First paid, first reserved. Payment deadline is December 15, 2002.
No more than 50 people may attend (this is Disney’s limit for UK Upper).
Park entrance not included. Must provide own EPCOT admission.
Absolutely everyone is welcome to join us, whether a DVC member or not.

I am a fellow Pittsburgher and Cranberry Twp. dweller. My husband also grew up in Mt. Oliver and went to Carrick high school. I used to live in South Hills/ Greentree area. Small world, huh?

Hey, guess what! I went to Duquesne University 89-93. I lived in MT Washington, then on Southside, had to cross the bridge to get to school! Now I live in beautiful, sunny San Diego!

It will be Christmas surprise for our DD's 8,8, and 5. We are going January 1-6 at OKW. We found a great fare on AA and we will meet a family member and her friends down there.
