So, Bobby Baby - the date was all it took to convince you that "romance is still in the air"!!!!!!! Ohhh, Ruth Ann, you lucky, lucky girl you!!!!!!

Yes, you can leave Brooke at the club and they do take them to lunch - Topsiders generally. Michael loves eating with the kids and actually prefers it to dining with us most of the time!

Let the Club know that you are doing the excursion or going off the ship or to Palo and they will be appreciative! They have great staff and do go out of their way to make each child feel happy, be safe and enjoy themselves while Mom and Dad are having their own private time.

Brunch is at 10:30 - you can make the noon excursion! People can stay as long as they want or until they are wheelbarrowed out of Palo!

Great picture of your family and Brooke is just so beautiful, Bob!!
She does need that brother or sister though, and maybe this cruise will get your that special souvenier!!!!!!

I don't know about you guys but we're trying to make our final excursion ressies. Everyone keeps changing their minds! Anyone who has sailed on Western before.....what should we Not miss on the islands for attractions or excursions. My family is teenagers and adults.

We finally got our documents yesterday! Of course, it wasn't a very long wait since we booked over the 4th of July! It seems they have added a lot of castaway cay excursions since we were there over new years- glassbottom boat, etc. Is that all new? Anyone ever do the fury catamarran beach party? We had a party with my sister's family (also doing 8/2 cruise) last night to read all the excursions out loud and choose our favorites. Does anyone know if you can just catch the trolley yourself in key west to sightsee or do you have to reserve it or buy tickets ahead of time? Anyone know the cost if you do it yourself? Barb

Great to hear you found your dog. I am sure it takes a weight off your shoulders and now you can enjoy the cruise! I'm sure you already know this, but I read on another thread that Fidelio will be on our cruise. Can't wait to hear him. When we last took the Disney cruise, it was in 1999, BEFORE the Dueling Pianos!

P.S. Still waiting for cruise documents. AAA says they will be here tomorrow. I am sooo jealous that all of you seem to have yours already.

PLEASE everyone try very hard to take in at least one of the Dueling Piano shows - there is a wonderful family one between main and late dining AND an adult one after late dining.

Fidelio is a marvelous piano player, entertainer, singer and showman - the kids have a great time because he brings them up on stage to perform some of the songs. And he just rocks on and on til the house is shakin'!!!!!!!

Don't miss him!!!!!!

Hey All!
Time is getting short! Tonight I'm seeing if any of my summer clothes fit since I have gained about 10 pds since last year....It is mostly good weight (filling sand bagsin the desert!), but by the time 3 weeks of vacation kick in - I'll be dying to find a gym.

We are starting to plan each day - and we are thinking of getting our Palo res. on Thursday night (Actually - I get to plan it all...Kinda like Clark Griswald!). That - and we kind of decided against excursions...Except that we may kayak at key west. Our vacation starts at St. Augustine on Tuesday - then we hit WDW on next friday - then to Ft Myers for a few days on the 29th...Only to arrive at the Radisson on Aug 1st....Then we end with a cruise and a few days at Daytona! So Florida - Get ready or not - here we come !!!

Well - lots of excitement - and still SOOOOOO glad to be home. The USA is so awesome...I can't believe how free we are. This whole vacation will be nothing but relaxation...Spending time with my wife who is so supportive - and my daughter who still has no idea why daddy is always at work.

Rea - How is your new horse doing? We have never owned one (due to constant moving) but we actually live in an equestrian subdivision (Our street is Riva Ridge rd), and Brooke gets to go feed them carrots some times.

I started to night to organize my 7 yr olds clothes-only to find out his dress shirts don't fit him-so we have to shop tomorrow. I have overpacked on the last 2 cruises and hope to cut down this time--but I'm not sure I can do it. I did buy him some long pants since the concensus here was No shorts in the dining room. My older son is away as a karate camp counselor this week and I don't dare pack for him anymore. Does everyone manage with 1 garment bag? I don't think ours is large enough for my DH suit, suits for 2 sons and my dresses. Somehow my parents manage with 1 suitcase and that includes my dad's tux and suit. I can't figure it out. I can't believe it's almost here. Who else is at the Radisson the night before? Beth

I am starting to pack as well. I always have too much stuff to pack and I'm trying to cut back but I am having the same problem. Everyone is so excited. We are leaving New York on the 29th to spend some time in Tampa with my father before the cruise. Our friends are staying at the Radisson the night before and then we are all meeting at the port. I have one more item to get before next week: My kids want new Yankees hats for the trip!

Bob - still enjoying the horses much too much to even think about packing. Everything is still sitting on the floor in my office......I thought maybe we'd get a thunderstorm between now and August 1 that would FORCE me to start packing but ........that means I couldn't ride.....

Riva Ridge! Brings back memories - lots of good racehorses but the one I am after is the one opening on 7/25 - Seabiscuit! Loved the book, movie looks tremendous!!!!

We are having a great time with the horses, considering it took me 48 years to own one ----second childhood thing!!


Well, gang, Fidelio wrote and said he will be on the August 2 cruise with us so let's get together at the family and adult shows and really show him what we are about!!!!!! You won't be disappointed!!!!

Rae, we will most certainly be there for all of his performances!!

I just want to also let everyone know that if you are staying at the Radisson at the Port the night before our cruise, or close by....we were thinking of a get together at 9:00 pm by the pool. Not to say any of us are anxious or anything!!!

I am so glad that we will have a showing for our Fidelio!!!!!

Michael and I will be wearing lime green shirts and baseball caps during the embarkation - Tom refuses to wear a hat and I am not sure if he will get a lime green shirt or not!!!!!!


I plan to be at the very first showing of Seabiscuit on Friday - just can't wait!!!! Will probably cut back on horseback riding that day to do it, but wowow!!!!!

Not sure if it will be on the ship or not, but not planning to take any chances.

Weather has FORCED me to stay home today and so I will start packing...or at least I will consider starting to pack!

I just called Disney today because we are leaving tonight and had not gotten our documents yet....And they reassured me that I could fill them out at the pier. She also said that they may still get here today. I was thinking - Wow - Those Disney people sure have their stuff together! As soon as I hung up the phone - there was a knock at the door. Yup - you guessed it....UPS! Got'em 30 seconds after I called...Now that is fast shipping...

We received our docs today also. I was getting a little nervous as well. Good news also, both of our rooms were upgraded. Gotta like that. I can't wait. Time is just creeping by. I think I am more excited than my kids. At least I have this website to pass the time.
