huey duey & luey and new_yawka, another former Staten Islander here too. Born at St. Vincents and raised in Mariners Harbor. I go back far enough to remember pre "gangplank" days, and remember when there was an airport where the Mall is now and Crampanis' Farm when there was actually a farm and not just a roadside stand. It seems that the more Brooklynites move to S.I. the more Staten Islanders move to NJ.

I live in Illinois now, but grew up in Westfield, New Jersey. I lived there from 1956-1979.

My sister is still in Westfield, my mother in Edison and I have a brother in Mountainside. I saw a DVC post from Clark! I used to bowl in the 60's at Clark Lanes. I am sorry to see it gone.

I was born in Summit. My mom has a weekend place in Sea Bright. I left a lot of money at the horse tracks in Monmouth, Freehold and the Meadowlands. Please return that money if you find it.

I love New Jersey! GO WHS BLUE DEVILS!

Hi, being from Ocean County, some people consider us Central Jersey and some say South Jersey. Since I see a "neighbor" from Toms River has called it "Central", I guess us folk from South Toms River would be a Central Jersey member too. So what the hey, I'll send our regards on both the Central and the South Jersey posts!
