My husband and I are going to Disney Sept 18-27 for FREE DINING! We don't have any children but I am noticing a lot of people saying they are leaving the kids at home. I am excited by the possiblility of there being less children more adults in the parks;) Who's with me!! We also are staying at Music hoping that this value will be the least family packed (I heard it was quieter there), seems like so many families are going to POP. P.S. This is not a knock on children don't take it that way

Sorry to inform you, but there will always be a lot of kids at WDW no matter when you go! Every value will be completely booked during free dining, it's the best deal. I do like to get in a short trip alone w/ DH maybe once a year, but there will never be more adults there than kids. During the time you're going, the crowds will be a little lighter, but you'll have an increase in the preschool aged kids that aren't in school yet.

My BF and I will be there for the last week of FD. No kids here, but we are staying at Pop. We're just excited to be able to try all sorts of new restaurants!

Only ME and DW going to POP in Sept. 21-28, DD20 in college and DS22 will be off to the working world ths July in the Big Apple after graduating from Penn this May. We were at POP last year 07 and probably every day from 2-4 pm we went back to the pool at the resort to cool off and the pool wasn't crowded. Same in 06 at ASMU. Just make sure in the morning if you are going for coffee and breakfast you get to the food court early cause later for breakfast get you in the big crowd.
And make sure you get all of your TS ASR's now asap.

Sept. 08 Bounce back
All ADR's Booked
9/21 San Angle
9/22 Coral Reef
9/23 Spoodles(new for us)
9/24 Chefs De France
9/25 Hoop De Doo (OOP)
9/26 Capt. Jacks
9/27 Le Cellier
9/28 Crystal Palace for breakfast (new for us)

This time period is magical beginnings time period, with lots of special stuff just for preschoolers & babies. So I'm afraid you are out of luck. Your best bet is to upgrade to Deluxe dining & use 2 TS's for all the signature dining. There will be less kids there (though still kids) and parents & preschoolers have a tendancy to nap in the afternoons & go to bed early so if you do the opposite you should be around less kids.

Also, not to burst your bubble too much, but we went to free dining last year & swam in Music pools & they had a special program where there were kid activities at the pools. There were TONS of kids & I didn't find it quieter at all, of course I had brought my kids & thus wasn't trying to avoid them. The piano pool is quieter, but still.

We are going to WDW with no kids for our 10 yr anniversary 09/17-09/24 but staying at POR. Excited to hit Pleasure Island and stay up late and do all the big kid rides. See you there.:rotfl:

Can't get my DH to do it. He doesn't think it would be fun without the kids.
I'm taking two 13 year olds instead. We are staying at ASMu Sept 13-17.

We are couple only this trip. Have been many times both w/and wo/ kids. Always have a great time, and always love the dining!

DW & I will be there for Labor Day weekend. Our kids are grown. We looooooooooooooooooooooove going by ourselves. Since dining is always a big part of our trips, free dining just made sense.

We are going w/o kids (cause we have none) and can't wait!!

I agree with the PP who said that there will be a lot of preschool aged kids tho. We went last year and it was stroller derby then too!

Third year in row with free dining. We pay for the sitting at the deluxe resorts at the kids clubs. The kids are now 8-10 and still want to do it. We go to a signiture place and use more TS credits but then just eat counter service the next day. The dining then is not free:rotfl: but worth every penny.. The kids are happy,:) :) Where happy. Everybody is happy:yay:

We are going September 4-8 without the kids! Yay!

I only feel slightly guilty about not taking them as we are having a fmaily vacation to Disney in May and we are celebrating our 10th anniversary.

We are going for the third year in a row for free dining without the kids (one will hopefully have a job after graduating college next month and the other one will be back at college). We are staying at the Coronado and celebrating the big 25th anniversary. And they said it wouldn't last! :rotfl2:

We are going w/o kids too. I felt bad that dh had to work when we go in June for 11 nights so I told him if they did FD we could take another trip just me and him and he had a better chance of getting the time off since most of his co-workers take time off in the summer and not the middle of September. We will be at CBR 9/9 thru 9/13

I am, I am...we are going sept 4-9th for our 18th anniversary and leaving 3 kids at home...we cannot wait, we love our children dearly but sometimes moms and dads have to have fun too :goodvibes

8/30 - 9/5. The kids are now 30, 28, 26 - just us at AKL. We're big kids anyway :yay:

Us Too!!!(sort of)

Taking our first trip w/o DS since he's been born! No FD though- August 5-12.

For my birthday and our 38th anniver., cruising the western Carib. Sept 7-14, then going to All Star Sports (never use the acronym) for the 14th-20th with deluxe dining. Without the kids, we now stay on-site. Although, there are a lot of small kids at Disney during this time period, you do not see very many school age children. Makes it easier to do the things we like.
