Anyone get a dscount for NOV. camping? We have a reservation without any discount. I tried for AAA and they said, "None available" Do you know if BAT code is good? Or AP or Disney Visa? Anything?:earsboy:

I didn't ask for November, but I got the impression from the CM when I was asking for December on both the EWP passholder or BAT public, that the Ft. Wilderness campsites were not participating in the discounts at all!!!

My AAA rate for October is $2.00 less than the BAT code. I guess Disney won't give us campers a break.

:( :( :( :( :(

If you don't mind saying what is your AAA for Oct? I think I pd $36/nite last yr in value season and my Jan (value season) rate right now if $56/nite. I would sure love to get that savings!!! Anyway, AAA rates for "room only" are not out yet. I wish they had a package w/ APs but they don't so we just have to wait until AAA room only's come out or get an AP rate.

Our AAA rate for a preferred site with 4 adults and 2 children is $48.17 (includes tax) per night.

$41.02 per night - 4 adults - tax included - full hook up site (preferred sites are too small for our rig) Loop 900 - I'm happy !!!

We only had 2 adults so I guess that's why our rate was just a little bit lower. We stayed in loop 1400 I think that's preferred. Anyway, I hope I can get a great rate again; right now we don't have any kind of rate.

From what I have read on other boards, none of the codes were available for the campsites. I haven't heard of anybody who was able to get one. Did anybody get a code??????

I tried to get a code for October and December but was out of luck on both accounts.

I was able to get the BAT code this morning - $248.00 for 6 nights - full hook-up - 4 adults

My AAA rate was $246.00 !!!!

Come on Disney, give the campers a break with your "wonderful codes"

Yorkie Mom - did you say you WERE able to get the BAT code. I just called and they said it was not for FW Camping -- only cabins.

Karen

The only code I mentioned was the BAT - unless the CM used a different code - the AAA rate was still cheaper. Why do you think Disney won't give us campers a break ????

We called today (Aug 27) and asked about the BAT, AAA and Annual Pass Discounts and were told that none were available for our trip (October/November).

These ressies were made in January. Maybe there were AAA rates available then.

:sunny:

I just made reservations for January, but while passing time the CM at CRO stated they still had AAA, AP & a few other discounts available until 12/25/04.

We tried this afternoon for the BAT discount for our trip in October, and the CM said either it didn't apply to the campsites, had not been released for the campsites yet, or they had already all been booked because it wasn't available. So now I really don't know if I should go to the trouble of continuing to call and try for the code discount or not.

mom2bandp,

I'm in the same boat. If the codes are not even available in the campground, as numerous CM have mentioned, then I won't even try to call again. I just want to know for sure one way or the other - Were the codes available for the campground? A CM even told me that if anyone does cancel their reservation with a code then they will go back in the pot at rack rate not as available discount rates for someone else to use. Others have posted this comment as well.

I would much rather just know that there were no codes and be done with it then to keep calling and getting frustrated. I'm starting to lose some of the Disney magic with all the "ups and downs" this week with AP codes, BAT codes and the phone problems at CRO - only to get nothing.

I just decided to call CRO and check again on any discounts. I had a wonderful CM and she tried BAT, BAS, AAA and EWP. After none of them were available, she checked and found out the BAT, BAS and EWP are only available for the cabins and not for the campground. She mentioned there is another screen she can go to and check which resorts and which type of rooms are participating in a promotion. She mentioned that not all CMs have the ability to check this information. At least now I know that there is no point in checking any more 'cause no one will be cancelling since they were never available.

Thanks a lot Disney for treating the campers as second class citizens !!!!

Becky, thanks for the info about the campground not being included in the discounts. At least now I won't keep wasting my time trying to call.
