That or occasional short stays at the end of a trip or strategic MK stays (NYE, night before NYE, certain ADR's like at POLY, Cindy's, CP, Halloween Party) that maximize the use of our time. Leave your room at 7:45 for an 8:00 Castle breakfast, or 6:50 for a 7:00 Chef Mickeys-that's efficient.

Exactly what I'm thinking. Even though I'm not a huge CR fan, I love MK, Ohana, etc. and I like efficiency! You can't beat the location. 2-3 nights every once in awhile ought to just about do it.

I'm not a DVC member, but will be once they go on sale. For me it's all about location, location, location. Will probably be looking at around 170 pts to cover a full week every other year in a 1 bedroom. I know a lot of you just stay for 5 nights and bail, but heck, if I'm going to be there that's where I want to stay.

I don't know about you guys but I think there is a huge population of people that will be brought to DIS and the new resort who feel this way.

It depends on if I get to add-on at GCV first or at KTV first, and if I do it as multiple contracts. I guess these would be add-ons 15, 16, 17, and 18 for me. I already have to tell DVC MS to scroll down to see all my contracts as it is!

I have 670 now, so with 75 at KTV and another 50 or so at GCV, that would be only 795 -- well below the threshold for the heavy-hitter's (1000+ point) club!

Amen. This will be as close or better than a MK Poly room, our first family stay, those seem hard to top.

I'm not sure yet. I do doubt that I will buy points there, however.

In my mind's eye, VWL is THE Magic Kingdom Resort. I love the way it is out of the way and yet a boat ride away to the Magic Kingdom. Gee I could do one of those videos. I also love the theme of WL/VWL. The Contemporary theme 'tastes' different to me.

I might buy a few points in about 2 years time to go once every 3 years. That depends a little upon whether any rumors about DVC at the Poly crop up or not! Of course, once the Disney marketing machine gets cranking, who knows. But as for now, zero, zip, nadda.

I am very happy for those who were anxiously awaiting KTR.

I hope that Disney announces it soon, because if the rabbit isn't out of the hat, it is clinging to that hat by its last claw.

was going to sell my large contract with OKW and buy one at KTR - but my brother got so upset almost hurt. so now I need way to do both.

just hope sales aren't until next year.

called my guide yesterday - she says she had a bunch of calls on this new DVC.

they have not been told anything. She can't even watch the TV news because she can't learn anything about it until Disney announces it.

She doesn't think the news article will push the annoucement up any. because we are know Disney has changed its mind before.

she agreed with me if Disney does this - it will bring in a bunch of new DVC members. they can't miss this thing - it is right in your face.

then of course, the people who saw DVC but didn't buy because they wanted the monrail.

0- No interest in owning there Maybe will try to book at 7 months if DGC are going to be with us at some future date or maybe some KTV owner will want to trade at the 11 month window for a BCV reservation after the newness has worn off.

I'm thinking about adding 50-60pts if we can swing it. Next fall we will have two on their way to college. But I'm still hoping, would love to walk out the door and right over to the MK. That's why I purchased BCV in order to walk to EPCOT.

Wow Mike! It sounds like you were listening to the conversation DW and I had about this last night -- what you say here is just what we were saying! Are you sure you don't work for the NSA or something? Better check the house for bugs.....

We're going to buy enough to do a Thursday and Friday night every year, possibly in a 1BR, likely in a 2BR. This past trip, and the upcoming December trip, we've done cash nights "somewhere" on the front end of the trip. We're considering buying enough points so we won't do that any longer, as "regular" hotel rooms are a little cramped for the 5 of us....and even the all star family suites are a bit "cosy", IMHO.

Hopefully, 75-100 points will be enough to do that, but I'll have to wait to see a points chart to be sure.

AKV concierge for that time frame would be, for adventure season, around 110 points, savannah view would be around 90. I'm figuring somewhere in the middle, or just over, the 110 point mark for an MK view 2BR for those 2 nights, or between 75 and 85 for an MK view 1BR.

We'll see!
