I'm thinking about adding 50-60pts if we can swing it. Next fall we will have two on their way to college. But I'm still hoping, would love to walk out the door and right over to the MK. That's why I purchased BCV in order to walk to EPCOT.

I am right there with you....my dd starts college fall of 2009 and then a son three years after her with one still at home for quite a while longer...so if we buy it would be a small add on ....where we would try and go every other year for a few days maybe. I am not even sure it will be my cup of tea either to be honest.

I want to buy both KTV and GCV. Because I am not a patient person, the number of points I buy at each will probably have more to do with which one is offered first than which one I want more!

As of now we are considering adding on 50 points at AKV at some point - family preference. I'm sure we will be trying to book the Contemporary at the 7 month window at some point though....

Of course, as others have said, never say never..... If you had asked me a year and a half ago I would have said my SSR ownership was enough. Now, with SSR and AKV ownerships.....let's just say I won't be surprised any time the add-on bug hits!

We have been waiting for this and I am so excited!!! We have 150 points at SSR, and 50 points at AKV. We are always borrowing into the next year so we do not have enough points. We were going to do another add on at SSR because we were starting to get discouraged with the Contemporary. Now we will wait to do the add on at the Towers! 200 points there should be perfect for us!

Very interesting that all the talk surrounding CR almost 50% of the people answering the poll so far have no interest (me included).

I think this is great news about CR. With the point cost / totals being higher and people who dont own at CR renting at the 7 month window it should open up areas in other resorts.

I think it's more interesting that over 1/2 of the members plan to add on here. Equating that to a 100,000 plus family club-I dont think there is going to be enough points.

I think we'll pass, Contemporary has never really appealed to us, but I am happy about another option being added to DVC. As far as I'm concerned it just adds more value to my membership.

Okay, I have questions. We have ownership in SSR. We bought 3 years ago. And we only have one regret, not buying more points! So we've been thinking about adding on. Here are my questions:

1. What is the minimum pts purchase for an add-on?
2. Is that only with your home resort or any DVC?
3. If we can do say a 50pt add on at another DVC resort would that also become a "home" resort?
4. Would we be buying in under our orginal contract/fees/point value or would it be a whole new contract with a new use year/fees/point values?
5. What is GCV?


I believe I have figured out some of the answers based on all the post, but I thought I'd ask for clarification anyways. Sorry these may seem like mundane questions, but I'm in the need to know!
