Other Dis-ers have speculated it will return in Jan.-Feb., and I have a couple (probably dumb) questions.

Are all the attractions open? I figure the rides will be, but what about the shows (Philharmagic, Tiki room, etc.)? Are the lines generally pretty short? And how far in advance did you buy your tickets?

Any info/mini-trip reports would be welcome! Thanks.

We went to P&P in Jan. It was wonderful. The rides were walk on. We rode the Peter Pan ride several times in a row without getting off. Philharmagic was open. There were only about 20 people in the show with us. I don't think the Tiki Room was, but I am not sure. There were long lines to meet the princesses, but we did every ride in MK that was open that night. I highly recommend the P&P night.

We were there in August. I just pulled out my P&PP Adventurer's Map. Here is what was open POC, Magic Carpets, Swiss Family Treehouse, SM, Country Bear Jamboree, Frontierland Shootin Arcade, BTMMR, Peter Pan, Cindy's Carousel, Dumbo, PhilharMagic, Snow White's Scary Adventure, Winnie the Pooh, Mad Tea Party, Small World, Pooh's Playful spot, Goofy's Barnstormer, Minnie and Mickeys House, Indy Speedway, Space Mountain, Astro Orbitor, Buzz, Stitch, TTA, Monster's Inc. Laught Floor, Tomorrowland Arcade.

Haunted Mansion was closed for refurb when we were there, but I would think it would be open also once the refurb is done. Some of the counterservice restaurants were also open. There were also several treasure spots where you could fill your loot bag (provided at entry) with candy and other treasure.

Also, Cindy's Carriage is out on display for pictures (beautiful) and Jack Sparrow gives pirate lessons.

We completely enjoyed our P&PP. Lines were short, even the indy speedway which usually takes forever. We rode everything (some things multiple times) with hardly any wait.

I think I bought our tickets in June for the Aug. 15th party, but you could still get them that day. It was a Wed. night.

I'm glad OP asked about this......

Are there enough Pirate things for boys, or is it mostly princesses?? I have 2 DS's who could care less about the princesses, but are into pirates.

thanks

We were there for the very first P&PP back in January and it was great! I believe all the rides were open....or at least most, all we wanted to get on at least, and with very little if any waits. There were lines for the character meet n greets, but that was about it. The fireworks were amazing, best I've ever seen (though I've not been to MNSSHP or MVMCP). My kids were all dressed as pirates, even my DD, we didn't even do any of the princess stuff, and they all had lots of fun. pirate:

When we went to the P and P Party, lines were super short and the fireworks were amazing! We went this past February. If your kids like characters, hit up some of the dance parties. We stopped at the Dance Party in Tomorrowland, and the girls (2 and 4) got to dance with a bunch of characters! Honestly, for about 30 minutes we almost had them all to ourselves! :cool1:

Here's Chip (or Dale) leading some princes around the dance floor (my friend's sister is Belle):

And it's totally worth the price for moments like this! ( "Mom! He danced with me!")

If your boys like the big rides, I say hit them up early (when all the kids are there). We hit Fantasyland super late (maybe around 11?) and it was pretty empty! By the time midnight rolled around, we were riding Dumbo over and over again without getting off! :woohoo: LOL my friend's mom (who has the little girl above) said the party was worth every cent just to not have to wait for Dumbo during the day!
