Who's been fishing @ WL in Dec.?

Anyone have experience with the WDW fishing excursion from WL or any Bay Lake resorts during the middle of Dec.? If so, is it worth it? What time of day did you go? Did you catch lots of fish? I have a non-Disney man coming for the 1st time & he's a big bass fisher, so I thought this might help make the trip more pleasant, & be fun for my DD, who is just learning how to really fish. Yes? Any advice is really appreciated!

We've done it twice in december (between 12/4-12/12). Both times we did the early one (7am). Each time was great. DW and I caught quite a few bass, most in 3-4 lb range. Rico was one of our guides, he was good. DW wouldn't bait her hook (shiners) or take the fish off
We left both times from Ft. Wilderness. We caught quite a few good sized largemouth right by the docks at WL and FW.
I'd say go for it.
This one was caught by the dock at FW.
