Who's baking today???

I started real earlier this morning, making my Christmas cookies. I have a sheet of baklava in the oven right now. After that's out of the way I plan on making chocolate chip, macadamia nut, oatmeal raisin, cut-out sugar cookies, butterballs, and gingerbread men. The gingerbread men have always been my favorite. They look so "Christmasy" after they're decorated.
So what cookies are you making this year???

I will start baking tonight as today I am working (I'm a children's librarian and our library is open 7 days a week). I am baking decorated butter cookies, fudge and chocolate bark. My mother makes the gingerbread cookies.

I made cookies all day yesterday. Sugar cookies always take a long time! I also did pepperkaka (I don't know how to spell it, it is a Swedish cookie), oatmeal chocolate cookies, peanut butter fudge, chocolate chip, hershey kiss cookies, and the sugar cookies.

This is the third day for baking....but I also did some earlier.
Should be the last day.
I have made 10 kinds so far.....2-4 more today (depends on my mood)

Im trying! I attempted to make KaraKW's Rice Krispie Treat Christmas Tree. It didnt turn out too well. I will do most of my other baking tomorrow.

We're cutting way back, and I almost wasn't going to bake this year.. but decided to do just 3 things, each one in the family got to pick one favorite, so we're doing Peanut Blossums, Fanatasy Fudge, and Ting-a-lings (we have a thing about chocolate at our house.)

BytheSea, I can't make Fantasy Fudge. Every time I buy a jar of marshmallow creme I make the mistake of opening the jar, just to sample it !

I started baking last night. Made peanut blossom cookies and fudge nut bars. Also made the dough for my chocolate crinkles and got them in the fridge,

Today I made my dipped pretzels and chocolate crinkles. And have my sugar cookie dough in the fridge to do later when DH is home to watch DD.

Still need to make the Holiday snack mix.
This is the first Christmas where I have really gotten into baking.

Just finished making sugar cookie cut-outs with my 4 yr. old granddaughter.. They LOOK awful, but they taste great!!!

That's it on the baking for me this year.. No time with the new job.. On Monday I may swing by a bakery and see if I can pick up a tray of cookies for the holidays.. Yikes!! I've NEVER "bought" Christmas cookies before!!

Am I turning into one of those working wives who is going to live on take-out, pre-made, pre-cooked, how-can-I-find-another-short-cut things???????

C. Ann, Don't be so hard on yourself. Those cut outs are very time consuming and you made them with your granddaughter!

I am baking today! I just mixed up some gingerbread man dough. Now I am going to make 'Double Chocolate Chip' cookies per requested from 6yodd.
I will make regular chocolate chip, chocolate chip and toffee bits cookies, peanut butter, chocolate crinkles, sugar cookies...and then I plan to do banana bread & pumpkin bread.
Christmas is the best for goodies!

Me Me Me---I am very late baking. Just made all my doughs---I make 15 types of cookies in all---spritz, biscotti, oatmeal, wedding cake, etc. Now I go through and do all the baking

We haven't decided if we're making any cookies this year yet, but we are going to make some cinnamon streudel bread and maybe some cheese straws tomorrow. Yum!
