Who's All Going to Be there For the Taping...

of the Disney Christmas Parade Next Weekend? I'm going to be there for the AM taping on Saturday. My DBF and I are staying at the Gaylord Palms the night before and were considering doing Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party the night Before.

*heheh* I'm glad he liked what he got! I kept figiting over what to get him, in the end I just put it all together and hoped for the best. If that t-shirt had come in an XL my DBF would have gotten it. he loved it!

Just be aware that the taping of the parade is not done of the whole parade running at one time. It is taped in segments, a few floats, a few CM's, at a time, sometimes with and without music. It is done over a 2-3 day time period.

I'll be there at that time, though only at MK maybe Friday early AM.

Yep! I did it last year, Though at the time I was a cm. This time I will be there for the Early Saturday Morning taping. It should be fun to be in the crowd. *grin* My bf thinks it'll be nothing but a pain in the a** *grin*

I THINK my sister and I will be there for the Friday morning taping. We got our email in on the 10th and on the site it says if you got in your request before the 13th for the friday morning, then you are in. But we never actually got an email, or at least my sister thinks... she might have erased it. I'm hoping we'll know tomorrow when everyone gets their official emails with the parking passes and all in them.

I thought about signing up when I saw the notice online for "extras" for the parade, but since I'm only going to be at WDW for a short time (and because there is no guarantee that I would make it past the cutting room floor) I decided not to sign up. This time.

My sister and I tried to volunteer 2 years ago but they were full. We went anyway and were in the perfect spot for the parts of the parade we saw and we saw ourselves on tv tons and tons that year! We are going this year but are actually signed up as extras so will see how different it is this time.

We will be at MK on that Saturday but won't be trying to view the parade taping. We'll be in the hopefully empty park!

According to an article I read, the guest stars this year include Julie Andrews, Vanessa Williams, that Fantasia woman from American Idol, Tiger Woods, John O'Hurley, Hayden Christianson, Aly & AJ, the Cheetah Girls, Star Jones, Lonestar and the cast of the Narnia film. Regis and Kelly are the hosts. Also, Ryan Seacrest will be hosting segments from DL. They'll be taping spots in front of the castle on Friday and throught the MK on Saturday and Sunday.

I'm thinking about going up for this tomorrow. Can you get into the MK if you're not an "extra"? Do they limit where people can go while the parade is going on? Good grief, these seem like dumb questions but I'm wondering if they keep the parade spectators to only the people who signed up to be extras.

One more ? ... what time is the early morning taping?

Just bumping this in case someone knows anything. I did find out that the early morning taping is really early... 7:45 a.m. I'm still trying to find out if they'll let anyone in but the extras.

Sitting in the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort right now...

There is a standby list of folks hoping for cancellations, but if you don't have a special pass, you won't be in for the taping, unfortunately. Those people with the passes, will be in special areas, I think. I'm slated for "audience" so I'm guessing me and the DBF will be in the Show portions. *grin* Who knows though. Have fun!

Thanks for the reply. I kind of thought that would be the answer with the early taping. If I go up, I'll aim for the regular 9 a.m. opening.
