Well I have done it after a tense 24 hours convincing DH ( did not really put up much of a fight) I have just got of the phone with Virgin and booked flights to FLORIDA  , flying on the 9th of august into Miami home on the 24th for £682.00 per person ( miles + money fare) would have liked something a little cheaper and into orlando but with fares into orlando from £800+ it was not an option for us .

Going to stay in Miaim the day of arrival for the night and then drive to orlando the next day , quite looking forward to seeing another part of florida . Any tips for hotel or sights on the way would be great .

I AM SO EXCITED LET THE PLANNING BEGIN :yay::cool1::yay:

congrats!!
guess i'd better take another look at miami!

it's sort of funny, sort of sad how we now consider £682 to be good....and for M+M.....

Three things I love:

  1. Threads titled "Whooooo Whoooo"
  2. Good news
  3. A celebration dance

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Oh and a good glass of wine - I'll go and pour one and toast you ;)

So was he easy to convince or did you have to do a bit of sellling?

Happy planning and let the fun part begin.I loved miami stayed a week there in 98. Lovely beaches. Dont leave before you have walked along the seafront feeling the hot :scared1:sand on your feet.

Great news.
We opted to fly into Orlando as the Miami route also means a trek to London ontop of the drive upto Orlando at the other end, not a good journey for us. Couldn't get M&M in economy both ways so had to go for economy out and return PE at £880pp + 4750 miles pp
More than I wanted to pay but for this trip it was worth the extra £200pp for convenience and the upgrade coming home.

Hope you try to get to our DISmeet on the 10th, its not until 7pm so gives you chance to get upto Orlando:goodvibes
