Does anybody know how readily available whole milk is at the Disney restaurants (both sit-down and counter service)? We are taking our 1-yr old who needs his whole milk and I checked out some menus but they usually just say 'milk'. Around here mostly all you can find is 2% at restaurants. I just wondered if this was something I was going to have to be prepared to start lugging around or if I could get it when we dine out.

Thanks!

Mostly it is 2% in the restaurants.

However, I don't think you should stress too much about this. Ask your ped, and I'm sure you will be told that having 2% for a few meals over a few days will not have a lasting negative effect. Buy a carton of whole milk to keep in your room (in an ice chest if you don't have a fridge) and let him have a couple of cups per day from your stash.

Another thing depending on when you go: whole milk can sometimes be a bit too heavy on the stomach in summer heat, particularly when a child is excited and outdoors all day, and may contribute to stomach upset. Going with a higher water content for just a few days may actually be a good thing.

You can get organic whole milk in shelf stable juice boxes at most health food stores. Then you can just take some with you in your diaper bag.

I was just at Disneyland last week and at several counter service locations whole milk was available. I would be willing to bet whole is available at sit downs also...not positive though...

I personally don't like whole milk, so I asked the CM at our first TS meal if they had 2% and he said the restaurants use 1%. Not sure if he was correct though...

We actually had the opposite problem, our son drinks 2%, whole milk upsets his stomach. Whole milk is everywhere and then in a lot of places they also had 1% available, but the whole was much more readily available.
