Should I be able to upgrade my Premium Pass for a Signature? I would really like to have Photopass for all my upcoming trips, without having to pay for it each time!

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to....they've always allowed people to upgrade (for the full price of the upgrade, in this case $70.00) in the past.
I plan to do the same thing...I was going to buy PP+ for an upcoming trip, but for the same price, I can just upgrade my current PAP to Signature.

I can see my pictures from June 2015 on the WDW app, but the DL app doesn't allow you to link Premier Passes. I have a week before I need to buy PhotoPass, so I guess I'll see how this plays out.

I just checked MyDisneyExperience and it now has the option to link my photopass into it. I just need to find the cards I got from the photographers (at DLR) and test it out (if/when) I find them. I didn't find that option in the updated disneyland app though (latest version 1.1, updated this morning).

Safeway in northern CA carries them.

My local Disney store still has them as of right now. They state that they will not have the new pricing until Monday the 12th. (And she said they are selling a lot of them!)

I was at our local, large Safeway this morning and out of curiousity passed by the gift card aisle and noticed that they had already swapped out the "old" Disneyland tickets and AP vouchers with "new" cards that have a January 2017 expiration date. That was fast.

I'd add that Safeway was only selling new tickets, no passports. The new cards are on a carrier that still has the diamond theme on a whiter background. The old cards had diamonds on a darker blue background.

I wish I could find a store in AZ that carries the vouchers. Disney Store and Safeway don't.

I'm waiting for DL AP line to answer the phone right now. I did want to say I just found on https://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/ At the very bottom of the page it says:

Renew Pass: You can keep the fun going all year long, plus receive a discount when you renew by the pass expiration date. Pass renewal is subject to availability.

I just talked with Amanda at Disneyland AP services. She told me there IS still a renewal discount. On the Deluxe (which is what I have) it is $40. The price would be $559 instead of $599. I did ask whether she thought this would be changing anytime soon and she said no. She did also confirm that I would be able to renew 40 days before expiration.

I did call a local Disney Store and they do still have the $549 Deluxe AP's with 12-31-15 expiration date. The man I spoke to there said I should be able to purchase the voucher using a Disney GC. Thanks to fellow Disers for posting, a couple weeks ago I did transfer a bunch of $50 Disney GC's I bought at Target onto one Disney GC also bought at Target. The Disney Store CM said because it is an actual Gift Card as opposed to a Merchandise Credit or Store Credit Card, I should be able to use it to purchase the AP. Amanda told me, should I let my current AP expire and bring to the ticket booth on 12-5 a new voucher, I would have a brand new AP with 12-5-16 expiration date. To me $10 is A LOT of money. I am wondering though if it is worth trying to save the money by purchasing the new AP. That again would not "start" until I turned it into the ticket booth? So if I buy it tomorrow but do not take it to a DL ticket booth until sat 12-5, it won't start until then, right? I just would not be happy if I did pass on trying tog et the $549 AP in favor of renewing my current one but in a few weeks when I'd be able to renew, suddenly there would no longer be a discount. I'm already paying $50 more than I had planned on (I had thought it would be $509). WWYD?

I talked to my local Disney store manager. She informed me Disney has said they will be changing the prices 10/12, and they are allowed to sell the old passes as long as they are in stock through the close of business on the 11th. She is receiving a LOT of business she said.

Thanks, Malcon10t. Right now as I said, I won't know if indeed I am eligible for a renewal discount for a few more weeks. I was planning to go to DL in early November anyway and would renew then so I would not need to do that for my longer December trip. The $10 is not so much ($549 new AP or $559 renewing existing AP) it's the $40 I am trying to be sure and saving! I would not be a happy mouse if I needed to pay $599 because there was no renewal discount and I didn't jump on trying to get the $549 AP. Blessing to have choices and I appreciate all of your listening ears and help

If you confirm there is no renewal discount, yes you can buy a voucher at the old price (if you can find it) and use that to renew your AP. We did it this way about two years ago when the old price was better than the renewal price on our Premium APs. We bought the Premium AP vouchers from Safeway a day or two after the price hike, and redeemed them for renewal a few months later. Just make sure of the voucher's redeem by/expiration date. A few people mentioned that the "old" vouchers expire at the end of 2016, so you should have some time.

A few notes. I can't remember if the vouchers we redeemed were processed as a renewal or if we were given new cards. It doesn't really matter practically speaking since you've re-upped for another year either way. If it is a new card, you may have to link the new card to your Disneyland account.

And yes, you can use your combined Disney gift card to buy a voucher at the Disney Store.

My local Safeway only had 1 and 2 day park tickets and no APs. I went to the disney store near me and got a premium pass and a deluxe pass with an expiration date of 12-31-2016. I will use those rather than renewing my premier pass and ds's deluxe pass next year since we won't we going to wdw next year. They only had 5 premium's left and 3 deluxe'so left. The manager said they've sold a lot today and once they're gone, that's it.

To clarify for everyone, Amanda, a Disneyland AP CM who I spoke to this evening told me there IS still a renewal discount. DL AP pass site says as much in this link: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/
I have the Deluxe AP. To renew would be $559 instead of $599. Amanda also said as far she knew tonight, no one at DL has heard anything about them doing away with the renewal discount. If anyone gets a renewal letter or goes to renew in the next few weeks please post to let us know.
