I've heard of Garden Grocer and Wego Shop, but will either of those outfits deliver beer.. Specifically Sam Adams? Do I need to be in the room to show ID? I've heard varying reports about this.
I don't care much about saving a buck, as I'm really concerned about getting what I want without having to visit an off site market.

Thanx for the help from a fellow beer lover,
MG

Garden Grocer delivered Sam Adams Boston Lager for us. I just typed in which beer we wanted delivered in the comments section. No problems with the delivery. That was the deal breaker for us - DH needs his beer on vacation!

wegoshop.com will also deliver beer and I'm sure they can get Sam Adams. You will need to show themyour ID when they deliver your stuff if it is the first time you are using them.

We had garden grocer and had no problems ordering Sam adams and strongbow cider ( which is sometimes hard to get) and wine. I would recommend them.

We always use Garden Grocer and tack on a case of beer in the comments section. They actually treat it as a separate order in addition to the min. $40 of groceries that you need to order first. Because you put it into the comments section you can specify exactly what you want (brand, size [6 pack or case or whatever], bottles, cans etc.) I always select a delivery window right before I think we'll be arriving & just ask that it be left with Bell Services. You will have to fax a copy of your ID with your order # on it so they know you're legal age. They will call you with a total for your beer order a couple days before you go. I think we paid something like $23-24 or something like that for a case of Miller Lite cans on our last trip. Certainly higher than at home but WAAAY cheaper than the $5 each that you pay at the DVC stores.

(I use GG rather than WeGo as I just want to go ahead & pay by credit card before we go. WeGo prefers you're there to receive the order and they prefer cash. They charge an extra 13% to pay by credit card. I don't want to wait around on the order to pay cash & am irked by that 13% fee so I use GG.)

While I haven't used them yet, I have been told that Garden Grocer will contact you after you submit your beer request in the comment section and request that you fax a copy of your ID. That will allow you not to have to present it upon delivery.

I thought I was the only one with a Strongbow addiction! Garden Grocer always gets it for me too.
