Who will be voted off American Idol tonight?

I know....when he sang "If I Can Dream", I thought to myself "he's going to win this thing". But I don't think he has the stage presence that Chris and Taylor do.

I vote for Taylor every week and it was busy most of the time last night. Usually by 10pm, I can get through pretty regularly because people have gotten tired of voting. Last night, I barely got through for the entire 2 hours. I don't know if that means anything.

I hope Elliott gets to come back. I'm not a huge fan, but he really gave it all he had last night.

Well it sure was hard to get through last night for Elliot! Maybe that's just the way it is for all of them at the end, because there are fewer people to vote for, but if I hadn't been really tenacious, I wouldn't have gotten any votes in. I called DD and said, I know you didn't watch the show (she really thinks it's lame) but do me a favor and call in a couple of votes for Elliot --she called me back and said, "sorry, I've got better things to do than listen to a busy signal all night."

I think it will be Katharine. DialIdol doesn't account for text messages. From the teen pulse that I get around here and on various message boards, Chris is more their favourite, so I would say that the text messaging vote would favour Chris and save him.

Any of the other three could go and I don't think it would be too shocking, sad, but not shocking.

IMO, Katherine has caught "Kellie Pickler-itis", where the contestant does a better job in the taped-with-celebrity-coach rehearsal and then goes down in flames in the actual performance. Yes, she's appealing, yes she has a good voice but she just doesn't bring it on performance night.
Heh, I always just LOVE it when Randy says a contestant got "pitchy" in a performance. That's just his way of saying that their rendition stunk up the place.

Chris might not have given the best overall performance last night, but it would border on criminal if he got sent home, similar to when Mandisa was voted off. The thought that occurred to me is that some fans might be voting for the person that they think their actual favorite would do better against...for instance voting FOR Katherine so Chris wouldn't go any further, kind of similar to "Survivor" where you pick off your strongest competition so you'll stand a better chance.

I hope it's Katharine. I'm tired of her and she wasn't great the last 2 weeks. I'd never buy a record of hers anyway. I want Taylor to win. Last night, I voted as many times as I could for Taylor and Elliot.

She should have gone last week and she knew it. Did you see her face when she found out she was safe? She knew she had dodged a huge bullet. She has been really off the last two weeks and really, only "great" a couple of times.

I dont want Chris to win because he will be tied into a contract that will kill him artistically. I think Taylor would do the best with the whole Idol support system, contracts, touring, etc.

dialidol has been right the last 2 weeks. Not sure if they will be right tonight. I can't see Chris getting voting off before Katharine or Eliott. (even if he was lifeless last night)

It's not about previous night performances...it's about fan base and he has the smallest based on previous results episodes. (Chris/Kat were the top 2)

I was wondering how the texting effects things. I hope it saves Chris for at least one more week.

I think it should be Katherine. She really turned out to be a disappointment. In the beginning she really seemed to have a lot of potential, but now with dropping lines and being "pitchy" she just needs to go.
