Who will be there for Cheerleading...

She was Memphis Elite Large Junior Level 5...there was only one other team in her division, but they were very good.

I did not get to meet any DISers...I was going to try to watch some of their daughters' teams in hopes that I might meet some, but since I was only there for 2 days I opted to hit the parks instead. But we had a great time!

Here is how we did...

My daughters small mini level 1 - 4th
small junior level 2 - 14th
My sons coed team small level 3 - 6th

We had a great time but running from WWOS to MGM and back was EXHAUSTING!!!!

Adn to top it off I came home with a really nasty stomach bug and have not been able to eat for almost 48 hours!!!!

I BET!! I like it being in one arena!! :)
Im glad you guys had fun and I hope the kids enjoyed their competition experience!!
As long as they came off the floor feeling good about themselves it doesnt matter what place the judges put them in. Remember a different day different judges it could all be different!!

SOOOOOO??????? How did it go guys??!

My daughter's squad got 10th out of 24 squads. We were very excited and happy for them. The squad has only been in existence for 1 year. (brand new all star gymn in Wisconsin) So it was great to be in the top 10 especially with so many other squads in their division. The moment was ruined though because somehow between the judges table and the awards things got mixed up and they announced our squad as getting 16. They messed up most all of the awards between 6th and 24th. They finally straighted things out and we got the right trophy but the girls missed out on the thrill of being announced as 10th place.

disneyxo...was that the senior level 4??? Our team was 11th. I was there when they changed the scores!!

Yes, that was the division! was your team announced correctly?? and dang I might have seen you and didn't even know it!

No... they moved from 12th to 11th...not as big of a jump as you had but the kids were happy. They had one of their girls in the hospital after the first day. She got kicked in the head during the first pyramid and had NO memory of the the routine and was not making sense after they were done. She is OKAY and was cleared to compete on Sunday.

Oh my gosh, how scary! I am glad she is okay and was able to compete.

Oh man that would stink!!! You are right 10 out of 24 is AWESOME!!
Lisa 11 out of 24 is great also!!! I cant imagine going against 24 teams!! 7 teams are stressful enough!! :)

That is VERY scary!!!

We are finally back! We had a great time.

Tumblebeez -My 2 DD's on Mini level I - 3rd place.

My DD on tiny cheer won 1st- National Champions!!! She was the little one singing "We are the Champions... by Queen" at our table in Ohana Sunday night. I didn't even know that she knew that song.
She is only three and I was more proud of her for competing with a temp of 101.7 (she had an ear and sinus infection) than even winning.
She is scheduled for her second set of ear tubes next Monday.

The Magic Kingdom was a mad house on Monday. Other than that, the parks were not too crowded and weather great! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

ROCK ON TUMBLEBEEZ!!

Congrats to both of them!! That is funny she knew the song!! Our coach played that outside the swan and dolphin by the fountain when the kids took their pictures!!

So did any of you guys get to meet up?? Sounds like it was such a awesome and HUGE competition!! Some divisions having as much as 24 teams!! WOW!!

Did anyone else bring home sick kids??? Last night at practice my daughters team had 7 out of 12 kids out with a REALLY nasty stomach bug. I have 2 kids with it right now and I am sure the rest will get it...soon!!!

I hope you guys start feeling better!! Nothing worse then a stomach bug!

tnkrbell- Thanks! Which cheer organization hosted the competition at the Swan and Dolphin?

dennisnkisab96- yes, some of the older girls got it. I always go in the room before the kids and clorox all surfaces that people touch like remotes, lights... So far we have not gotten it. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Where is everyone???? :confused3

Anyone still have competitions?? We have a national in Miami this weekend.
Then our last is in Tampa. How about you guys anyone still competiting? :sunny: Our parent team practice is also on now!! :rotfl2:
We will be performing in Tampa.

We had a competition UCA Northeast Champoinship) in Worcester, MA this weekend. My son is going to Baltimore April 7 -9 with his co-ed team and our last competiton for the year is Jam Fest Nationals in Springfield, MA April 22 & 23. :cheer2: :cheer2:

We finished our season in Jacksonville a couple of weekends ago. All of our teams are done for the season except one. Our Seniors were in Michigan this past weekend and they got a bid to Worlds. I told them that if they got their bid and they needed extra parents to go I'd volunteer (my daughter's a Pee Wee so we've got awhile til we get a chance to go to Worlds).
