How was it? Was it GREAT? Wish I could have been there on that night? Do they do anything special or different just for that night? Do you have any pictures to share?
We were there on Halloween night and it was the best! The night is a bit of a blur, we were running late and by the time we got there everyone was packed on Main Street for the first parade. My siblings and I decided to skip the parade and went searching for candy.

There was no wait for the 'free' picture, so we got that taken with little time lost. I think we hit half the Trick or Treat spots before Hallo-Wishes. We'd done a Wishes cruise a couple days earlier, but the Halloween theme blew the cruise out of the water. (not literally

) Standing in front of the Castle and watching all the kids with their light toys and those cool blinking necklace things was really neat, then when the show started, it was amazing.
We went to Casey's after Hallo-Wishes and sat at a table eating the best hot dogs in the world while everyone lined up for the second parade. There was a little boy who was in a wheelchair and the CM's were taking such good care of him, making sure no one obstructed his view and visiting with him. That was so sweet to watch; I was really touched by how the CM's and characters went out of their way for this little boy.
The Headless Horseman was cool to see, I nearly missed him because my brother was being serenaded again. He was dressed as a Ghostbuster and everywhere we went he was serenaded with the Ghostbusters theme.

When I would get seperated from the group, I would hear little kids holler "Look, it's a Ghostbuster" and could find my brother pretty easily.
There was candy a plenty, it seemed like everytime I turned around there was a character and they had Cinderella's Carriage out- I had heard it wasn't out this year, but my 30 something self screamed like a six year old when I saw the carriage.

I think the thing that amused me the most was anytime I would stop to sit down or look at the ground for some reason, it was covered with glitter. I told myself it was Pixie Dust, not the glitter that all us females were wearing that night.
My other brother was dressed like a Sith Lord and he was referred to throughout the night as "the scary man". He didn't find it too amusing, but I thought it was pretty funny. There was nearly a battle between a Sith Lord and a Ghostbuster when Sith Brother got fed up hearing Ghostbuster Brother serenaded for the 100th time.
I was dressed as a runaway bride, which went over like a lead balloon. I wasn't aware that irony doesn't translate well at Disney World.

I was wearing a veil and carrying a bouquet with a t-shirt that said "You haven't seen me!" with a bride outline. I was congratulated by a dozen people, Bless their hearts. I thought it was funny until we were leaving Philharmagic and one CM ran up and began to serenade Sith Brother and I with a lovely romantic ditty. The "moon was out over Orlando" he sang and I was really wishing I'd gone with the Princess costume idea as my Sith Brother and I were mistaken for newlyweds.

Note to Self: Never dress as a Runaway Bride at a place where people get married. It's not funny.
As we were leaving the park, one of the restaurants (Columbia Harbour House , maybe?) was giving away free sodas and a Haunted Mansion CM was yelling that there was a wait time of less than 5 minutes. Leaving the park the CMs were literally giving away fistfuls of candy- our bags were very full and we only made it to about 3/4 of the Trick or Treat spots. We were having so much fun that suddenly it was midnight and we had to hit the shops before we left the park...it seemed like we had just gotten there.
I'm probably giving too much info, but it was without a doubt the best time we had on our trip to Disney. We've already decided that if it's possible at all, we are going to be there on Halloween night next year. It was that great of an experience for us.
