Who Was/Is Your Planner?

We had Gina Hubbard as our initial contact. She handled the Wedding Information, Space Hold Confirmation and Vendor Lists, Letter of Agreement, Received Contract and Payment. Then she passed us off to Tanis Armstrong who is our official wedding planner. She is fabulouso. She is always quick to get back to you and she CHEERFULLY answers every last one of your milllllllions of questions. Rosie is our floral/entertainment/photography planner. She is ALSO wonderful...extremely knowledgeable and is ready and willing to emails you pictures of different examples...which makes planning from across the country so much easier. I have loved everyone I have talked to so far...I can't imagine NOT like someone at Disney.

Thanks everyone!

I'm kind of bummed...I was assigned Pam Pierce for my initial contact. Now, we're just waiting for the date that we can formally book. I'm glad I found out that I will need to switch to another person once we book...I was wondering what her role was in my planning b/c her name hasn't come up before! :rotfl:

We had Tanis Armstrong as our planner, and Rosie for floral. They were both incredible, and managed to keep secrets all over the place - I had secrets from Carl as a surprise, and my mum had secrets from us - she had an even better relationship with the girls than we did; she spoke on the phone with them all the time, lol!

Thanks everyone!

Pam is a Wedding Consultant. Her role is to answer the initial questions you have about the wedding / locations / etc, hold and book your locations, and get your contract together. I have her too and she's been fantastic. She helped me figure out all my timeline issues, even surveying all the Planners to see what they suggested. She really has been wonderful and truly makes it seem like it is her pleasure to answer any and every question I have and never makes me feel like any of my questions are stupid, which some of them really are :lmao:. When I mentioned to her I had booked our PS trip, she sent me all the paperwork and info right away so that we could get that booked and I haven't even signed my contract yet.

I wouldn't be worried at all. I've really had a great experience working with her these few months and I think I'll be a little sad when she hands me over to my Planner. But I'm sure my Planner will also do a great job, so I'm not too concerned about that either, although I am a little curious who it will be.

we have Carol Mikles too, and I can't imagine anyone better! She has been simply amazing.

We had Ken Weaver for our planning session since Carol had another appointment but Carol Mikkles is our actual planner and we met with her a few weeks ago and she is so sweet!

Hi all -

I wanted to bump up this thread to see if anyone else would like to comment? Or, for those of you who are now married or farther along in the process than when you initially posted, would you care to comment again?

Thanks!
Leah

We have Amy Reindeau is our planner she has been awesome. Even when I get an auto out-of-office replay from her she responds before her email says she will be back in the office.

Really looking forward to meeting her in August... really looking forward to August in general:rotfl:

We had Marion Stewart for our wedding 2 weeks ago and she was amazing! Very on the ball and so awesome to work with. Her assistant Jen Flores was also great, I spoke to her a lot during the planning process since the actual planners are out doing weddings :)

We initially had Amy when we were planning our Escape wedding but now we have been changed to Carol for our Wishes wedding.

We had Stacey Meacham as our sales consultant, she is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I can't say enough about her and how patient and wonderful she is.

We have Amy Reindeau as our planner - I've been so impressed with her. As other have said, she gets back to me ASAP :thumbsup2
For floral I've been assigned Rosie, but my first phone consult with her is not scheduled until the beginning of March - but I've heard great things about her also!

Hi all -

I'd like to bump this thread to seek more responses about who your planners were/are. Please share your experiences!

I'd also like to ask a general question about working with your planner. If you went to WDW for a planning session, did you interact with your planner much by phone/email prior to your planning session?

I was just assigned a planner today and she made it seem like I won't really be talking with her much before September which is when I plan to visit WDW.

I'm a little worried about waiting so long to start planning. I thought once I had a planner that I would have someone to interact with quite frequently. The sales consultant I worked with previously was wonderful about answering all my questions and spending time with me by phone whenever I needed her help, but I didn't get that impression from the planner.

Can you tell me about your experiences...pretty please! :flower3:

thanks in advance!
Leah

Hi all -

I'd also like to ask a general question about working with your planner. If you went to WDW for a planning session, did you interact with your planner much by phone/email prior to your planning session?

Karen Heyn is my planner. I booked my May 2010 wedding in November last year and had my planning session in January. I can tell you that by the time I met Karen face-to-face, I felt like I already knew her. She and I had talked extensively and emailed back and forth before my session. As a result, my planning session was mostly confirming decisions I had made, asking random questions and walking through my wedding day start to finish. I absolutely adore her and have no concerns about my day going off without a hitch. :goodvibes

I also have Elizabeth for my floral and she's just as fantastic! We hadn't decided on table decorations for the reception before my planning session and she helped me narrow down what I wanted. She had tons of pictures and examples.

Our Disney wedding is coming up in 2010. It is over 100 guests, and it's a Wishes wedding.

Ken Weaver and his assistant Jen Flores are helping us with our wedding, and Rose Dizon is doing our decor. We also had a lot of contact with Heidi Pickert, our wedding coordinator who was extraordinarily patient with us and gave us a lot of important planning ideas--she sold everyone on the idea that the unique nature of our Disney wedding could be a reality. To be honest, the groom's side of the family didn't want to have a Disney wedding initially, but we think all of our guests will be thrilled with all of the magic that we have planned for them. We're ready for a celebration!

We have Carol Mikles and her assistant Jessie Carter. So far they seems nice...we have been communicating back and forth on email alot. Sometimes I feel like I ask too many questions! :dance3:

We have Michelle Wenzler-Dorr and Elizabeth Sutton for floral. They are both great so far! They answer our questions promptly and have a lot of helpful suggestions.

We will be meeting them in April for our planning session for our wedding in August.

Kathleen Reynolds = FANTASTIC! If you were lucky enough to get her...bravo and congrats!
