Who Wants To Try a DIS-Meet At Gulf State Park In May-June 2016?

I've been buying summer things to get ready for the beach. Put our beach towels in the camper, bought some new BBQ brushes and a grill scraper. Tried on all /my shorts to make sure they didn't shrink over the winter. All was good.

Also changed the oil in the truck and decided to replace one of the truck batteries that the sight glass has been black (should be green if it's good) for 2 years. I expected it to finally die over the winter, but we had such a mild winter, it survived. I didn't want the other one to croak on the way down, so I figured I should have 1 new one, at least.

It is supposed to start raining here on Tuesday and there is a chance of rain everyday through the weekend. I was going to was the truck and camper, but I'm not sur it is worth it now. Th camper isn't bad, the truck hasn't been washed since last summer. Duallys and car wash don't get along.

Washed both the camper and truck today before coming into work. Wife and the girls taking care of inside of camper and I cleaned out truck yesterday.

I topped the fuel off both in truck and reserve fuel tank as the locals down there love to jack the fuel prices up on holiday weekends.

Tomorrow I'll start putting things in back of truck including the canopy, chairs, cooker, etc. Will also secure the bikes on rear cargo rack of camper.

Gotta cut the grass and till the garden before we head out.

Well Michael, you guilt tripped me into to doing some stuff this evening, I cut the grass and weedeated the yard. I almost washed the camper today but I fighting that urge, I'm holding off til Thursday for washing the truck and camper, it's an all day affair.

Well I had planned on cleaning the camper today but my buddy called and said let's go fishing so I didn't get much done other than worked on my tan

Some days are good, some days are bad, the other day was really bad! No fish, it's all part of it. It was fun just to go hang out with friends and Captain Morgan, plus we gave up fishing and rode down the beach almost to Gulf Shores looking for signs of any women in distress or wanting to go on a boat ride...didn't see any of them either, like I said a really bad day... fishing,

Then reach down and pull up his nearly full fish stringer and add another 6# bass to the line while muttering "Slacker".

Cajun Rob sorry and I'm sure you would enjoy Gulf State Park. It's about the best besides Fort Wilderness. You are still welcome to come next Friday afternoon for the meet and greet. Also there are several places in the area to try and camp.

You should call any double check, they have a waiting list for cancelations, you may get lucky.

We know that Tiggerdad is going to snap some pictures and post some stuff about everyone backing into their sites, I'm almost tempted to haul my butt over the to GSP Thursday and set my ground blind and trail cams to catch the mighty squirrel man in action! I don't want him to feel left out,
When we pulled up in Demopolis he came running around the back of his camper with his chair in hand, and flopped it down to watch the show, well that just fouled me all up, I couldn't do nothing but laugh let a lone back in to my site, all I could think about was Ed's gif!

Yeah, the couple in the campsite behind Randy were laughing at me for that. I told them it was a good joke amongst us.

You and Joe will probably get lucky on Friday as my wife has decided to get the whole outlet mall shopping thing out of the way. So we'll do that Friday.

Funny you mention drive thru's. One of my first trips with my pop up I decided to go to McDonald's. I had a Nissan Xterra and a large Jayco pup. Well as I pull up to pay I happened to glance back and I was literally an inch from scraping the building. I had forgotten the pup was wider then the truck. Close call but survived.
