Who wants to plan with me? mid Nov - mid Dec - We're up to 110! WOW!

You're so welcome! :goodvibes

Here's a great thread for those of us crafty (or wanna be crafty - this is the group I fall in!) people who want to make autograph books instead of buying the generic ones:

I think I'm going to print my boys a hard covered on from somewhere like Shutterfly and make the spiral bound ones for our friends kids who are going since they haven't been before or in a very long time.

It's probably too late to whip one up - but shutterfly had $10 off any purchase through today or tomorrow.

If you have kids or family fun nights, and want to encorporate your trip to get everyone in the spirit... This thread is overflowing with really cute fun party night planning ideas:

Oh yeah that's another one of my faves! Thanks for sharing!!

They have "sales" quite often so there's no hurry if someone wants to make one. I also want to look at artscow.com. They seem to be very cheap but the same quality as a site like shutterfly. The 8x8 60 page book on artscow was $30 and on shutterfly the same book would have been $60 - I could make two books on the "other" site for what I could on shutterfly. :scared1: That's a big price difference!! I just need to check into them a bit more before I committ to something - I'm a commitmentphobic! :headache:

I've never heard of artscow.com. Thank you for the referral - off to check them out :)

No problem! I've read many different threads - especially on the Creative DISigns board - of people using them without problem. I do believe they're over seas so it takes things longer to get here than you might expect. That's the only "complaint" I recall coming across about them.

Mine too! But, we're thankful to be able to go on a vacation. Many people are having to "skip" this year. It just gives us more time to plan! :thumbsup2

Your right I'm a Debbie Downer :( I am very lucky to be able to afford vacation. I just miss Disney a whole lot!

Well went to Books a Mill and bought the WDW Passporter book/journal for 2010.. Now my wife and I can go thru and quit printing out all these forum tips and put in the book..lol

We have the 2009 Unofficial guide for kids from our last trip which was nice, then picked up the 2010 for adults at the library. Also (if you're at the library), and see the 09 or 10 Florida Eye Witness Guide - it lists some great info on the parks.

For avid droid, iphone or blackberry users, my DH is planning our trip drive and itinerary using TripIt. You can forward emails through it, and it will load in all your ADRs, Park Itineraries, google maps, etc. Dh was telling me something about when it comes time to communicate with IPO to just give them some email addy he set up and everything would auto-load in to TripIt - then it lays out in a calender form. From there, you can click on the day - see the park, click on it - click on some link or something. I don't know - sometimes he gets too techie for me, I guess that's why he's an engineer :rotfl:

I also saw this on my FB page today - if anyone plans on driving, this looks like an awesome time suck for kids (and maybe my DH too :lmao:) I'm thinking we might need a couple of these.

Oh yay, I'm so joining in on this one!
DH and I are staying at AKV(possibly WL) split stay POFQ (our favorite hotel). We are going for 10...possibly 11 nights. November 24 or 25-December 5th. We can't wait! We are going all out on this vacation.

We decided to do the DxDP again (we LOVE food!), we are also going to do V&A's, MVMCP, an Illuminations Cruise, GF tea party, Behind the Magic Tour, Universal Studios, POR carriage ride, and lunch with an Imagineer. We are also considering doing ICE at Gaylord Palms, not sure though, I haven't heard much about it. Also hoping the Wishes dessert party will be back by then.

We are hoping for ADR's at Flying Fish, Jiko, CG, Narcoossee's, V&A's, Boma, Citricos, Brown Derby, CRT, Raglan Road and probably a few others.

The only other site I use to help plan is DisneyWorld.com. We are going in 26 more days to hold us over until our big Christmas time trip. We are so excited to see all the Christmas decorations and see Osbourne Lights again.

Thanks for the book suggestions and cell phone app suggestions! I'm not a techie either but DH tries! :rotfl:

I like the toy too! That just might be perfect for the ride down there!!! (and the 18 drive to MI in July...)

The DW and I along with our 2 DD's are planning on going after Thanksgiving and wanting to stay 7 days, at least 10 days. We are searching for dining codes and looking out for codes, hopefully we will receive a CODE. We are driving down, will be an awesome trip and we so desperately need a vacation. Any codes out there, or where to get Dining Codes, please let us know. We thank you all and will continue to watch this thread, hope to see you all down there come November. Have a Magical Day and a great Magical Vacation. DH::MickeyMo DW::MinnieMo DD:tinker: DD:stitch:

The codes are given out randomly.... what id do is...

go to DisneyWorld.com make an account and "save" a few trips
order maps and vacation planning DVD.

I have 2 email accounts and did it all, I saved multiple vacations, sent away for DVD's and maps, still no Codes. But I do thank you very much for replying and hoping you enjoy your vacation. Are you and the family driving down from Maryland. We will make the journey from Jersey. Will be an awesome trip, cannot wait to go 257 days and a wake up.

You'll have to be careful around Thanksgiving. I'm guessing there will be some black out dates for codes. If "free" dining is announced, it's usually best to have something already booked and be able to just add the code to the morning it's available. Calling to see if you have a code works too as many people find out that way and don't receive any other notification about having a code attached to their name.

Once you book, give us all the details so I can add you to the first post :goodvibes

We've done it all too on both my husband's and my email accounts and have only gotten a code once on a postcard after we'd already found a place off site. That's another option for you too, especially since you're driving, is just staying off property. That can save you quite a bit.

We are going to fly down. keep changing the trips around, stay active! that is what we did........ also CALL we called and had a pin and didnt get the email for like 2 weeks!

Thank you. We will be booking very very soon and I will ask, once we call. We are actually thinking about flying down, from the A/C Airport, but with all that is going on, isn't it hard just to get your bags on and you can't bring those neccessary items on board and we don't want to pay high prices for our bathroom items. Also, staying on property is what we've always done, just for the kids, and if we stayed off property, how would we get around without renting a car or taking a shuttle that would probably leave earlier from the Parks than we expect? Just a little info. Thank you again.
