Just what is this show? Is it like the who wants to be a Millionaire? If so what kind of ?'s are asked just Disney related or everything? Has anyone out there won at this?
Yes, it is like who wants to be a millionare!! All disney questions that get harder & harder! You can get ship credit, sorry I forgot how much you can get. The top prize is a Disney Magic cruise (7 days) for 2!!! I've never seen anyone get the top prize!!! It's fun to watch but you have to know your Disney!
It is just like the show. But instead of "phone a friend" they have a panal. And yes, Our friend and cruisetoberfest leader won a free cruise last year. And a bunch of us were there to see it happen. It was the highlight of my trip. The questions are Disney based. Good Luck!
I was a panalist in May and had a ball. I even got a cool collectors pin that is only givin to the 6 panalists on each cruise. I had to scream my lungs out to get up there and my throat hurt for the rest of the night but, it was worth it.
DS asked me if he could change seats with me (because we spread out to improve our chances of being picked). He was picked. I went up with him and we made it up to $175 onboard credit. I think his big mistake was saying that I was good at trivia. Our questions were a lot harder than the people before us.
It is definitely on the 7 day Magic and was held on Wednesday night in the Walt Disney Theatre. The set and sound effects are just like the TV show and all questions are Disney based. The top prize is a 7 day DCL cruise for 2 and the next highest prize is $400 shipboard credit.
There are 10 questions, each getting a bit harder as they go along. They also have plateau's like on the TV show where if you get that question right you cannot lose more than that amount. Example...if you answer up to question #4, I think it is, you automatically get $80 shipboard credit. And it goes on from there.
Very entertaining. Our host last week on the Magic was the performer who was Hades in Hercules.
I was a contestant two yrs ago and made $175 in ship board credit. The pin I got was the most interesting, for several people on board approached me to buy it. I still have it. I can't believe that it is worth much, but after being asked as many times as I was, it must be quite some hobby (pin trading).
Walter, When the cruise director gave me my pin he told me to hold on to it because he heard they were pretty valuable. When I got home I looked on ebay out of couriosity and I think they were going for around $75. I am not a collector, but I still wouldn't sell mine, its a nice momento.
