While checking to see if the Disney Store discount was still on the Member Site (it is), I came across this info. Thought it might be of interest to those heading down to WDW soon.

Be a part of the studio audience at the Disney-MGM Studios "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire--Play It!" attraction as Meredith Vieira hosts tapings of the syndicated television show, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" January 9 - 11, 2004. Paid admission into Disney-MGM Studios is required. On the day of tapings, Disney Vacation Club Members can go directly to the "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire--Play It!" attraction or the production window at the front of the Park to get tickets. Taping attendance will be based on a first-come, first-seated basis. Check the Show Time Guide once you get to the Disney-MGM Studios for specific taping times.

Further Information: There will be two tapings each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Tickets were originally available at www.millionairetv.com but were no longer available last time I checked. The Saturday and Sunday tickets went first, probably to local Florida residents. Three weeks ago the web site only showed Friday tickets as available. I tried to get some at that time, completing the on-line form, but never got any so guess they were all gone also and they just hadn't updated their web site.

I don't know about the possibility for DVC members to get tickets unless tthe millionaire people are holding some back on purpose. If anyone is looking for tickets I suggest they go first thing in the morning. My guess is there won't be that many available, or they may just be stand-by tickets.

When we checked in yesterday to BWV they didn't say anything about Millionaire tickets (but that is still more than a week away so they might not until it gets closer) We're going to keep an eye on it and try.

We have tickets for Saturday mornings tapings and Sunday mornings tapings! We are excited, it should be fun!

You were able to get them last month on the ABC - millionaire website and then they sent them to us in the mail.

I went to a previous Millionaire taping in December 2001. Regis did shows with Olympic Hereos. When I heard about it, I went to the ABC site immediately and ordered the tickets. We got them and I thought we were so lucky! The day came, we went and they had to literally drag people off the street to fill the seats! They used cm's to fill the remaining seats. That trip was very low crowds (post 9/11) so that was probably part of the problem. Anyway, even if you can't get tickets try to go as a standby. Wear something warm, the studio was very cold I guess because they wanted to compensate for the heat from the extra lights (we were near the top). It was very interesting to see what goes into the production, it's not as easy as it looks!
