I bought a leather fanny pack at Easy Spirit. it is really nice looking and is sorta flat. They sold it in a couple different colors. i just picked up one for my MIL and it was on sale. I am a stylish 30 year old and I had no problem wearing it. I need my hands free becase I have a 4 and 5 year old to chase after. It is about ease and comfort when I am at the world.

I love my fanny pack. And mine is big eanough for all the things I need or want to keep with me all day like money, camera, hand wipes, tissues, and chapstick, as well as room keys and tickets.

Yes! Fanny packs ARE the best thing ever for WDW! I didn't take one last week, but bought one with 3 compartments the 2nd day of my trip, so I didn't have to carry my backpack.

I carried room card/ photopass card/s, camera, a little money, chap stick, receipts, maybe one or two other items that I can't remember now.

And oh yes... hand wipes, telephone, and ps confirmation numbers!!!

Another fanny pack user here. I also got one for my ds last year and explained that he was responsible for carrying his own things. He really liked it and he used it to carry his autograph book, pen, park ticket, souvie money, etc. DH has one too so I guess we all look kind of silly. But we can carry everything with us and definately feel more secure.

The children and I are fanny packers. DS(9) and DD(7) each carry their autograph books and pens as well anything else they need. DD is usually in charge of band aids and sunscreen as she is usually who will need these most. DS has another couple of things he is in charge of which I cannot remember what they are but luckily he is the kind of kid who will remember what his responibilities are. DH is still too cool to wear one. I carry all of the typical mom stuff in mine and love it. We bought ours at Wal-Mart, have used them for 2 Disney trips as well as many other trips and they are still going strong!

I have to say after 2 weeks in the world "hands free" I did miss my fanny pack on returning to civilisation.

I still wouldn't wear one every day though! :cool1: :smooth:

I have a many pocketed fanny pack that just goes to WDW w/me.
It has a flat zippered pocket right in the front that is perfect for the park tickets and fastpasses.
Has big pocket in back, another pocket set up as a wallet, another pocket that holds kleenex packet and lip balm. I keep this fanny pack just for WDW because I'll never find another like it and dont want to wear it out just yet!

Always use one. It holds small wallet, camera, cell phone, hair brush, lip gloss, travel bottle of advil, & it's disney of course & also waterproof. The kids wear small ones to hold their autograph books & pen, and portable camera. They get a kick out of having their own camera!

Definetly use a fanny pack. I don't really like the thing, but pregnant & then two little boys, I'm not carrying anything else! I only use one at WDW, so I got mine at Walmart. It is inexpensive (that's my problem with the ones at Disney, they cost 5x as much), is water resistant, has plenty of pockets, basic black, and not as bad (size wise) as most--it holds a lot without being bulky

I was in walmart today and I found a little one but it didnt have anyplace for my brita bottle. I tried it on and while it might be convenient to have it hands free, it wont fit everything I need. I am trying to decide if I should spend the $13 on the sling backpack I saw today that I liked or just use my regular Jansport (it doesnt have the extra padded back so it's nice and light).

This is a huge decision for me :sad2:

Get a fannypack! I consider myself a fashionable individual, but all fashion sense goes out the door in Disney! Really who cares? The most important thing is practicality and comfort. I brought a small backpack with me and a medium sized fannypack. Guess which one I wore for 8 straight days? The fannypack! Everything is at your fingertips. No digging around in a backpack.
