I am just wondering who was able to use the BIG code that finally came out for August on Pop Value resort. I am booked Aug 9-16 called as soon as I saw it posted in the morning EST. They was nothing open for my time.I could of switched to All stars sports..This seems to be the worst offer yet..Did anyone have luck???

We are staying at Pop from August 11-22. I was able to use the code some what. However I was told I had to go the the preferred rooms. So basically we switched from a standard room to preferred and saved $12.54.

Didn't have any luck applying discount to current ressie at AKL on the first day it was offered. Was hoping to get more of a discount than just the AAA rate. A little discount is better than nothing though.

I was able to add on Aug. 17-23rd at POR this evening

We were already booked for Free Dining Aug 24-30 at POR

They are in as 2 different reservations, but I shouldn't have to change rooms.

I was able to apply it to our reservation for our grand gathering the morning it came out. saved 1,260 on our four rooms.

Only the Al Star Sports was available forAug 11-17 when my TA booked it for me this last Saturday. She will keep checking for me to see if anything opens up at one of the other values.

I was able to apply it for one night at ASMu on Sept. 10-11... Our package then goes from Sept. 11-15 for free dining, then I have a 3rd reservation for Sept. 15-16 that I wasn't able to use the code for... I have 3 reservations total (because I added the night in the beginning and end and there wasn't any free dining available then)... ugh!

ETA- sorry, now I see that this thread was for AUG! :)

We are thinking of driving down from Chicago Aug 11th. We have stayed at Beach Club the last 5 yrs but I am in Real Estate and the budget is tight. We are thinking of POR riverside. Can anyone help with experiences at POR! We have 3 kids 14,12,6. Any thoughts would be appreciated. We can stay for 4 nights / dining and hopper for 2450. It seems to be a good deal! Comments please!!:cool1:

I just got notice of a deal on Midwest.com saving $50/ticket when you pay thru paypal, from Milwaukee to Orlando (for example, Aug 6th -16th, that is when we are going) was $135/before tax etc!
And we are staying at the POR the 13-16th with our 3 kids. We would rather stay at CSR for the theming, but everyone seems to rave about POR, so we are going to try it. And with the discount going on right now, it's $109/night. It seems like the Bayou bldg 14 and 18 are recommended.

I called on the day the codes came out and like you I didn't save much. I upgraded to a prefered room and save $25. I was kinda bummed myself.

But I called back yesterday and was able to book a standard room with the code. That saved me about $200. Now that made me really happy!

So I suggest you keep calling in - with these codes coming out, people are upgrading hotels and availability is changing all the time.

We switched from POP to POFQ for our late Aug stay. With our daughter with us on her first trip I wanted more room and a fridge. I know the codes aren't stellar this year, but it allowed us the minor upgrade - $122 a night versus $164 rack. We're paying around 220 more for 6 nights than if we had stayed at POP but I really wanted the codes out so we could get a mod at a cheaper rate.
