Looking into our first DCL trip in '05 or '06. Is it best to book with DIS, Disney, or AAA???? and why.
Thanks!

Shop for best price. I wanted to book straight thru Disney, but they don't "meet" TA's prices, and when I was booking the online travel agencies were alot cheaper.

If you find a price you like, do another thread - folks here will tell you their experiences with the agency you pick.

Also, I sent you a PM on this.

Happy Planning!!!

I looked at several agencies online when booking for my first cruise and booked with Dreams Unlimited (DU) because their emails were very prompt and they have been nothing but nice and helpful.

im trying "small world vacations" the mousesaver recommended agency and asked for a quote on 7/31 and have still not gotten it. i think i will try dreams unlimited instead of waiting for them.

i'm in process of booking with platinum travel - Barb has been very helpful and quick to respond to my multiple questions and quote requests

try cruisecompete.com you can get quotes from different TA's.
It was very helpful for us.:wave2:

Nobody has beat my quote from MouseEarVacations.com!!!! They are the best so far :D

I have booked 3 vacations with Dreams Unlimited and they have been absolutely the best everytime. Specifically, ask for Regina-she is wonderful. On our first vacation, about 2 months after we booked, she emailed me to tell me that she had saved 1,000.00 by using a code that Disney had come out with in the meantime. They are constantly checking for that and can really score some hard to get PS's.
Good luck!!

I book with micdan.com....nobody's ever been able to beat their price.

I use micdan.com also. They are great and cheapest prices I have found. Cruised with them once before and have 2 more booked through them.

I booked with Small World and am satisfied.

Don't go too crazy looking for the absolute cheapest price. Many reputable places will match lower fares if you send them the info and request your fare be lowered.

Good luck!:p

I third Dana at Cruiseplanners or micdan.com She is wonderful. I have booked 2 cruises thru her

Well, I waited an extra day just to get a quote from micdan and they are $300 MORE per person than MouseEarVacations.com. Nobody has beat the price that MouseEars gave me and that includes AllSeas, DU, and Platinum.

Thanks so all who have replied to my question. I just want to get in on all the "perks" I guess the DIS meet onboard is for any DISer??? I know that AAA gives the drink mugs. Anyother deals I should consider? How does DCL decide who gets an upgrade on their cabins? Is that only for those who book thru disney travel? Thanks again!

Very true. But please remember that it's SERVICE that is important. Not the perks that maybe offered. I want a travel agent that is willing to (1) take my calls and (2) work FOR me.
I may not get that $20.00 bottle of champagne in my room, or free drink mugs but when I call, my TA is there and puts out 100%.

Again, that's why I highly recommend All Seasons travel (allseastravel.com).

Another vote for cruisecompete.com !!!

You just post what you're looking for and travel agents post their best offers, then you follow-up. It is quick, easy, and anonymous, so you won't get unwanted calls/e-mails, but they do ask that you be serious and ready to book within two weeks with the agent you choose (don't use them only to get quotes and then ask your own agent to match). We found them as a "last resort" when we were ready to give up on finding a Disney cruise for Jan 2005 that we could afford-- and they hooked us up with The Magic For Less Travel, which had group space available! And so we saved about $1800. :bounce:
