Well I'm sad to say that one of our last trips, somebody went thru our stroller and took my fan spray bottle. We left the stroller outside of POTC and werent gone for that long, but when we came out and we were going thru it putting kids and such back in it, my fan spray bottle was missing. I had put it in the stroller and covered it up, but it was gone.

Now I know it was hot, but I dont think my spray bottle went to look for a cooler place to sit, but I could be wrong. Perhaps a boy fan spritzed by and she took off after him, I guess we'll never know.

I did go to lost and found, though I hadnt lost it someone had taken it and there wasnt a "someone took it" booth..LOL
Of course they didnt have it, and of course it was never to be seen again. It was one I had gotten from work when I was still working at Winn Dixie and it was the best one I had ever used. I've had others but this one sprayed the best...I hope someone at least got some use out of it..

Got a used winn dixe spray bottle you'd like to sell... :rotfl2: :moped:

Oh, that really sucks!!!
After reading a recent post about families having their strollers stolen, I really think I will be getting a locker, and not leaving anything but snacks and drinks in the stroller. If that!

I know last year, I had my dd's Ariel costume in there, on at least one day. She wore it to meet Ariel and for awhile after, until she got too hot in it. (She had it on over her clothes) We both would have been devastated if someone had taken it! It was her favorite dress up outfit at the time.

I am actually thinking that I will buy the Disney spray bottle this year. I debated last year, until it was so late into our trip I thought it wouldn't be worth it. This year, it will have to be my souvenier!

I see thing like this happen at all the parks .Most of the times it's a small child while MOM puts brother or sister in their stroller. They just start pulling and poking around in the strollers around them when they are waiting.
I've even seen MOM take the wrong stroller and then relise it's not their's and scurry back.

Now with that out of the way I can't believe that even at disney you would leave anything unattended that you want to keep.Sorry guess it's the city life in me but boy.
We had a 70 yrs young ladies umbella stolen from our porch hidend behind a chair the other day while she was getting her hair done in the salon. They must have wanted to stay dry as well.

So true! I can't tell you how many times I've had to distract my kiddos away from pulling blankies and babas out of someone else's stroller.

Best advice would be to not leave anything in the stroller that you'll miss. I admit, though, a time or two we've left the boys' nice Disney sweatshirts in the stroller while on rides and fortunately, they were always there upon returning. I really ought not do that. ;)

On my last night at disneyland, I had my golden autograph book full of autographs and my golden ears stolen in the shop at buzz while paying for a rain poncho! I was already out of the park waiting for the shuttle when I realized one bag was gone.....no one had handed it is and well, i left the next morning early :(

No way!!
The only thing lower than that is stealing the whole stroller, diaper bag and all!

DH and I always joke about leaving a bag of "dirty diapers" on top of the stroller basket to keep contents secure. So far no problem with anything walking away, but we really don't keep anything in that that can not be replaced or of value.

oh that stinks, i'm sorry this happened to all of you :( guity of leaving stuff in the stroller over here :( YIKES! i better learn.

Theft of any kind is LOW BUDGET. Place i used to work at got ripped off all the time. Police always told the owner it wasn't worth their time! :furious:

Worst thing though is i came back to australia with no autographs or 50th ears as I left. They can be replaced but it was my birthday! I couldn;t believe someone would do that.......still is a dampner from my trip nearly a year ago.

stroller mix ups i can understand etc, they are all the same.

I was at the Park during that time period and I found a Bottle on the ground, so I looked around for the owner and found no one. By the way, it still works Great ! :smokin:

It makes sense that a lot of this stuff is being taken by small children - My DS1 frequently goes after a toy, juice box or bottle in another stroller when we go to a mall play area. I stay fairly close to him, but am surprised at some of the other parents who pretty much let their kids run amok, hitting and pushing other kids or pushing them off a slide. Thankfully most parents aren't like that.

But if your child suddenly showed up with a fully autographed book, or a spray fan even (and assuming you had no idea where it had come from), wouldn't you take it away from him/her? And take it to Lost & Found in hopes that the owner would come to claim it? Unbelievable!

I would be happy to sell you back the Winn Dixie bottle I stole from you. It will cost lots of $$$$ since it was once used by you. :teeth:

So many people in one place things are bound to go missing. My rule of thumb is if it has value and you dont' want to lose it keep an eye on it and watch it as you would say your purse!

I have always been nervous about that but so many times you have coats, hats, packages and I hate to admit even my video camera that I couldn't take on say a water ride.

We have left our strollers packed with junk every time and have always been lucky to never have anything taken. I am glad though that this next trip my kids are too big for strollers and we won't be taking them cuz it is just too easy to use it as a place to stow all of your stuff. I will admit even now that I bought a messenger bag and I have a smaller video camera I keep in my bag at all times but we still end up with coats or sweaters and the inevitable bag of souveniers that you just get tired of taking with you everywhere.

It is SO sad to me that someone would steal at a place like this but alas I know that thieves DO NOT care about anyone or anything. Still I have seen SO many strollers in both DL and DW stuffed with items and it is just sad to think that someone would stoop so low.

I only lost a bottle but I see people all the time leaving very nice looking diaper bags and other tote bags just either in the stroller or hanging on the handles. Some of those ride waits can get quite long and by the time you come out, your good stuff could be long gone. I'd never leave anything like that or jackets, etc in the stroller. And its true, each time we go we see at least a million other strollers that are just like the one we brought. I wonder what the rate of recovery over at lost and found is..lol
Probably not a whole lot...LOL :moped:

It is sad that people would steal things at all, especially from a stroller, and while it doesn't make it ok for people to steal why would you ever leave your things unattended? I'm always amazad when I see people just leave stuff somewhere and walk away for a little and actually expect it to be there when they come back. It's unfortunate, but I'd rather deal with the hassle of carrying something around with me than trust that someone won't take it even if it's something cheap and replaceable.

Well, this is sort of an eyeopener thread for me. I'll be there in June and will make sure not to leave anything unattended. I am going to try to travel light for this vacation, but you always seem to accumulate stuff throughout the day.

Thanks for the heads up on the sticky fingers at DL.

We had one of our strollers stolen when we were there in November. We were in POTC and when we came out, one of our two strollers was totally gone, sippy cups and all! We looked all up and down the aisle thinking someon had taken ours thinking it was theirs, but there wasn't a duplicate. When a CM went by, we asked about it. He replied that strollers are getting taken a lot more now. Seems strange! I can't imagine someone paying to come in to steal my $30 umbrella stroller. It was really inconvenient, but thank goodness nothing valuable was in it.

Unbelievable!! I cant believe it! :furious: I cant tell you how many times I have left my stuff outside the POC. pirate: That stinks..Clearly not a member of this and other Disney sites! :hippie:
