Who should I book through?

Hi,

I am so used to planning my WDW vacations on my on and have always booked everything seperate (room, hotel, car, tickets, etc.) So, what do you recommend for a cruise?

We are looking to book ahead for Dec 2006. Should I book throught the Disney web site. How do I make sure to get the best possible deal?

I got the best price from All Seas travel. I also used Dreams Unlimited for my land portion and have been happy with them (did not yet know about them when I booked my cruise. Others have mentioned getting good prices through Costco. Shop around and get lots of quotes, and book the best quote you find (w/ a reputable agency of course).

Are there any benefits to booking directly through the cruise line?

Only benefit to booking through the line is you can always call the 800 number to ask questions. I love www.cruisequick.com , an internet based agency. Great response to my emails and great prices. I've also used Costco and cruise.com, both with good results also.

We have used Dreams, allseas and for our lastest we used Dana at www.Micdan.com. For the lastest cruise she had the best price. But all three have wonderful service. Just get as many quotes as you can and go from there.

Not to the extent that you should pay an extra $500.00. That is the difference btwn Disney's price for a cat 9 outside and allseastravel. Can I put travel agencies in the text? Is that allowed? If not, sorry! Same thing with air fares. You can book through the cruise line and they will hold the ship if something happens but you pay outrageously for that. When you book on your own, the travel agent will give you a number and you can (usually) immediately go on the cruiselines website and see your information. Now that I think of it, I can't think of a single advantage to booking with the cruiseline (except price when it is lower). Can anyone else?

Dreams Unlimited got us the best price by $700 for the 3 cabins we booked and Sue Ellen is great to work with.
