Who pays for Vero Beach repairs?

Well, it was just a thought. I completely understand that the VB point owners are responsible for this possible fee, and I will gladly pay it in order to restore VB to all it's glory.

I guess I was just thinking that the members and guests trading in are somehow reaping the benefits for free, but I suppose that's the price we pay for choosing to own at Vero.

I understand the sentiment, but it could be just as well applied to dues.

Is it "fair" to owners of say BCV to pay more dues than those at OKW? After all, a point is a point is a point. If OKW owners use their points to stay at BCV (or any resort with higher dues), aren't they "reaping the benefits for free"? Don't BCV owners pay a premium to stay at OKW - higher dues for the points they use to stay there?

Shouldn't all members pay the same dues and all resorts' operating expenses be spread over the entire membership?

DVC just isn't set up that way.

It might be interesting to see if posters here would support a change to such a system even though I don't think it is possible under the current contracts we all signed.

Best wishes -

John Kerry just called in and stated that if he were President the Federal Goverment would pay for all repairs, lost income and candy for all the kids!

HAHAHA! Just candy for the kids? I thought he was throwing in a Kerry/Redwards Campaign button.

I so enjoy the Dean/Desperado discussions. :chat: Sometimes I think they are the same person.:teleport: Keep up the good work.

Always hard to determine which one of us has the worst case of "Last-word-itis".
