Who participates in 'My Points?'

I tried it for one month and got nowhere. I don't understand the surveys. They ask you a bunch of questions and they say you don't qualify. Waste of time. I don't shop online much except at my local grocery store, which is not connected to my points. Now I have to un-sub from the emails as I get 5 per day or so.

Just checked my account...

I've been a memeber since early in 2002 and my lifetime earnings are showing at 44,996.

I shop on line thru them for Kohls and Overstock from time to time and in the past would redeem for Hilton Honors pts (which was very nice!) but they stopped being offered and now redeem for gift cards to use when we eat out.

I've also been a member for years, since 1999. I get 10 or so points emails per day from them. Sometimes I click them all and sometimes I just wait until my inbox gets backed up and spend time clicking through as many as I can.

The survey ones I don't do unless I have 5mins or so to spare since they are kinda lengthy for 10pts.

I print out the coupons to get the 10pts per coupon plus I have the toolbar as well and do the 35searches per month to get the 75pts for that each month. I literally knock out the 35 searches one after another. Takes about 5mins total.

Also I have my credit/bank cards registered with them and earn points off of B&M purchases. Not sure if everyone saw those notices a few months back. But it's a nice replacement from the Mypoints CC that was lost when Wamu was bought out by Chase. Right now it's just hotels and vacation type stuff but Disney Cruise Line is one of the partners for 3pts per dollar. That's a lot of points you could get from a Disney cruise! LOL We've setup some hotels through that which works out well for our spring travel plans.

Most of the shopping I do through Mypoints is for Office Depot since they give a lot of points for purchases. Plus I do the occasion magazine purchase through there.

Yep - that's why I skip the surveys. I got really frustrated with them.

I'd say I do get about 5 emails per day at least 5 days a week though, so that's 25 points per day * 5 days, or 125 points a week just for clicking a link - which I don't mind doing.

You can probably just deactivate your MyPoints account if you're not using it anymore, then you shouldn't get the emails from them.

I just started about a month ago. They do send a lot of emails but if you click on the links you get points. I also do a decent amount of online shopping so I've gotten quite a few points already. I already have enough for a $10 gift card!

I love it--I use my regular email but I filter the email into a folder, so I can just click thru them quickly. Since I do a lot of online shopping, I get lots of points. I get points every time I buy something on ebay, when I buy things from the Disney Store, etc. etc. I use the points to get gift cards for restaurants, Itunes. Great for gifts for the nieces & nephews, or dad & I use them when we eat out.

I don't waste time with the surveys either. A lot of times, I just click on the prefer not to say about my race or annual salary, then I don't qualify, but at least I get 10 points for it.

I also participate in Mypoints. Like most of the previous posters, I mostly do the paid click and a few surveys. I use the points towards TGI Fridays cards and get 2-3 $25 cards per year.

I started just to use Mypoints before Christmas. I have accumulated over 11,000 points with them. I did most of my christmas shopping thru them and accumlated over 7,000 points. I have accumulated 4,000 points since christmas and I have done three things thru them - e-mail clicks - about 5 or six a day, buy my e-books from B&N for my Nook and book two nights for our trip to MIL (600 pts). The cool part is I was able to use the B&N GC I got from MyPoints to earn more Mypoints (300 pts):thumbsup2

Correction - four things - I forgot about the daily spin to win - I've gotten about 75 points that way.

I love my points - its great - I have earned TONS of "free" gift cards - super easy too!!! I have earned over 50,000 points and countless gc's love love love it - I have gotten Kohls, Target, Bass Pro, Walgreens & more... you do get emailes but they are worth points and I dont find it annoying at all its totally worth it...

I have belonged to Mypoints since 2004. I have earned around 150.00 each year since joining. Mostly I have cashed out for gas cards for our trips. I do a good amount of online shopping through them, especially around christmas, and they do send out emails regularly. The other site I have been using for quite a while is sunshine rewards. I have earned almost 800.00 dollars with them and have always cashed out for Disney gift cards.

I am signing up for Sunshine Rewards and it is asking me if someone referred me and what their referral # is so that person can get credit. If you want, I can put your referral # in so you can get credit.
