Who Owns This Photo?

First of all, I'd like to say that is a GREAT picture! May I have permission to use it on some of the door signs I'm making for the 10/16/04 cruise?

I can't remember where I found it. I think Grumbo may have posted it a while ago, but I don't know if it's hers/his. I had it saved on my computer.

I can tell you where that pic was taken. That's the St. Maarten dock. Recognize the rock breakwater.

If, for some reason you can't use that one, I have one of the rear of the ship in the same place. I know, not quite as nice, but you all are welcome to it.

Just got home...
DW and I were away in Toronto celebrating our anniversary..
Yep that is my photo and anyone that would like to use, abuse or borrow it is more than welcome to...
I had it on the disboard site but it went down for a month and I thought they had been lost on the server.

Just looked at the propeties for ALL of my photos and it says they are Scott Bubrowski's Have NO idea who Scott is but have a feeling that when the DIS redid the photos the fellow got "ownership" of these photos. However trust me the photos ARE mine

Nice pic!!! I took a similar one of the Magic docked in St. Maarten...but it's a little further back.

Grumbo, did you take the panorama in your signature as well? I like that one and made my own version on my last cruise.

Mine was taken on the port side of Palo with the ship pulled straight in. I notice in yours the ship is backed in.

Thanks. I like Grumbo's as well - particularly the color of the water in his shot. I'm hoping he'll reveal his secret for getting the shot.

Mine is a composite of 11 handheld pictures taken with a Nikon D100. Next time, I intend to use a tripod.

I have similar panorama' of the Magic Kingdom Main Street, the Yacht & Beach Club, and The Boardwalk.

Here at work really have a really great digital camera with a fisheye lens. We use it to take VR-style photos in conjunction with software called QuickTime VR that sews the photos together for really awesome 360º photos. I wish I could justify a reason to take this camera with me on our next cruise!

I have a CanonS40 (4 megapixel) Digital camera. It has the panoramic mode and the software that will stitch it together on your computer. I've found however the more photos I use, the more aberrations I find in the photo. If you look at the railing on my sig you can see that it "dissolves" but no big deal in this type of photo
I have a couple that I have done of the pool in the backyard with maybe 3 photos and they work out great. I think there are 5 or 6 in the sig file photo. There are a couple more in my director of Ron Jon's pool area and Great Beach at St. Maarten. They came out fairly well.
I used to do all 35 mm photography as well as large format for work. Switched positions about 6 years ago and now its just "fun" photography. If it doesn't come out... Oh well lots of space on the memory card
Yes smchan the ship was backed in. The two times I've been to C.C. they backed in both times. I never realized they did pull in "forwards".
