Just wanted to see how many of you own motorcycles or scooters. And how many women??? princess:

I seriously want one -- maybe just a Honda Rebel or a Honda Reflex (scooter). Am I going through a mid-life crisis? I think I'm going to get myself one when I get my first job. :thumbsup2

Oh, and I wanted to add this. A few years ago, the female preacher where my husband went to church got matching motorcycles with her friend and it was such a scandal. I thought it was great, but the congregation wasn't so thrilled. :rotfl2:

me me me.. where huge motorcycle people here...

after the end of this month hubby and i will have 6 motorcycles together...

he is waiting for his 2006 fjr1300 to show up, it's on the truck coming from calf. to ga. woohoo

we love them and have a blast, and they are cheap on gas

My husband just bought a 2006 Honda Spirit.

I have a Honda Metropolitan. My DBF bought it for me a few yrs ago (for XMAS). I LOVE IT! The only issue I have with it is that I can't take it on Pkwys b/c it only goes up to 40-45mph. But its great for around town type of stuff.
And I have a matching helmet!!

That's cute! Are they very popular where you live?

I live in a small town and, as far as I've seen, there is only one person who rides a scooter, and it's our mentally challenged neighbor. How much storage do those things have? What kind of grocery run could you do?

aww that is so cute, i always wanted a scooter but my hubby wouldnt let me lol

i know this was for the op, but they are very popular around here

Those are so nice, Andrea! I especially like the one you have on order for yourself. It's great that you and your DH can do that together. My DH doesn't have the least bit of interest in a bike, so I'd probably be alone with it. I've never owned one before, but I've ridden a few -- a couple of dirt bikes, an on/off road Honda something (can't remember what it was), and a bigger Honda Goldwing, I believe it was. It was too big for me to handle really, but it was so much fun.

There really aren't too many women on bikes where I live, either scooters or motorcycles.

I have 2 mopeds they are made by tomos overseas, I live in a resort town that is so hard to get around in the summer, not for me! i can zip to the gym, post office ,down to the beach ect.parking is never a problem and gas is cheap. One is black with a pink tinkerbell sticker on the front,I named it the pink tink, the other is a really basic green color that revs a little high i named that one the green monster(yes i'm a sox fan too) they are alot of fun!

DH and I just got a Harley Davidson Ultra Glide. I guess now we are official "HOGS"! We ride every chance we get.

Thanks we have a blast!! i cant wait for my new one to show up. My dh is the one who got me wanting to get them. i would love love to own a little scotter to get back and forth on, but we live to far out for that!!!we also have a couple of dirt bikes, that is how i learned to ride the "bigger" bikes!! :rolleyes1

I mothballed my bike four years ago as after six years of driving a convertible I used it less and less. Nevertheless I get that certain itch each spring ;) I still drive a convertible, but I guess sooner or later I'll find my way to the BMW-dealership and get one of their new bikes :moped:

Hi,

I just got my motorcycle license last November. :cool1: I've always wanted to ride since I had my moped back in the 70's! Late last year I decided to take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course, which I HIGHLY recommend, and quit putting off my dream.

After passing the class DH and I went out the next weekend and bought Honda Shadow VLX :moped: I'm so happy I did it! I've been having a great time riding around town, taking the kids to and from school, etc. My DH had no desire to ride a motorcycle, because he doesn't like to shift, but now he's looking at a Burgman scooter and will be taking the Basic Rider Course next month! I'm really looking forward to have somebody to ride around with, especially on the weekends.

Oh, by the way, I'm a 40+, 5'3" mom of 2 kids and most people are shocked to see me with a bike.

We have a 2001 Harley soft tail standard. Well, my husband does. lol I'm chicken. I don't even like riding on the back. We're probably getting rid of it after this summer though. The insurance is ridiculous and we only have 5 months of summer here!
