Who offers free additional driver?

Does anyone know which car rental companies offer free additional drivers?
We really don't want to have to pay this cost.

We get an additional driver free with National. Not sure if that is because we belong to Emerald Aisle - or whatever that is called. You can sign up for free through www.mousesavers.com. Check the mousesavers website as they may list who has add'l free drivers as they break down each rental car company for you with all coupons and codes!

Budget offers free additional driver in several instances--
Do you charge extra for an additional driver?
Sometimes. Although additional driver rules at licensee-owned locations and locations outside of the U.S may vary, except for California, Nevada and New York, the fee for each additional driver is $13 per day with a maximum charge of $65 per rental. There is no additional driver fee in California. In Nevada the fee is $10 per day with a maximum charge of $50 per rental. In New York the fee is $3 per day. The following are exempt from the fee but must meet all other driver requirements: the renter's employer or fellow employee when on company business and renting under a corporate account; the renter's spouse or domestic partner; the companion driver of a renter with a disability who has completed the non-licensed renter form; for insurance replacement rentals, company employees or family members who are designated on the insurance policy.

Only a spouse or business associate are free with National Emerald Club.

If I rent with Avis, using the discount code from my insurance company, those insured with the same insurance company are covered for no charge. They must be present at the time of rental.

If you're a costco member you can go to costco.com , travel, rental cars and click on Alamo and they have a free additional driver plus coupons etc.

The Magic Card doesn't have the free additional driver now. We used it in Nov. and it did but I booked this for friends of ours that went last week and when they got there, they were told that it was no longer included.
I checked on the Magic Card sight and sure enough they took the additional driver part off.

I rented with Thrifty Dec 27, 2009 and the Orlando magic card coupon gave a free additional driver only up to march 31, 2010. I just checked it again for a rental in May and the free additonal driver perk has been dropped.
Thrifty charged $9.99 per day for an additonal driver when I check it out.
That being said I was able to get a mid/size car for about $100 less from Thrifty so a rental from one car company that charges for an additional driver may wind up cheaper than a rental from a company that gives you the free additional driver.
