Who Needs an Oven Anyway

We've needed a new stove for awhile and just missed the 30% Sears had last week because we kept going back and forth over which stove to get. By the time we put it in our basket at 11pm it went back to full price

My double oven is over 30 years old. Six months ago, I turned the top oven on, turned around, heard a buzzing noise and turned around again only to see a bright white then red burnout of the heating element. I have been waiting for the bottom oven to go out. That darned thing won't break!

My sister called to tell me the Kenmore's were 50% off last week and I BEGGED my husband to agree to let me get one. He said no. I couldn't talk him into it even though he admitted I need one and I have a job to pay for it. So sad... He is making me wait. I am dreaming of a double convection oven for Christmas. I wonder if I can get one on Black Friday sale? Wish I hadn't said anything and sabotaged that darned thing!

Yep our roaster pan is very similar to the one someone shared the link to.

We'd cook turkey in it even if we had electric stove/oven. It comes out so moist and the oven is free for baking another other stuff.

You can get a good sized electric skillet for around $20-40 depending on size you need. Mine is about 12 x 12 and I can cook an entire meal in it but sometimes it takes planning. For example for spaghetti I brown the beef add sauce warm it up then put in microwave for a minute and let it sit while I boil noodles. I will use the stove top to boil water for the noddles but sometimes when I know its getting low I do it all in the one electric pan so we have hot water. We can't always get the tank filled right away. Thankfully we live in mild to warm winters so we don't really use the gas heater except when taking showers we like to turn it on for awhile before so its not quite so cold getting out.
