I know I could use it. Yesterday and today my stomach has been growling, which it hasn't done since I started my new program on 2/14, and I just want to snack. Sugarless gum isn't cutting it and neither is the water. My goal is to not touch any food until lunch time...I already had my morning snack:rolleyes:

I know others have posted about the difficult time they are having 'focusing' on a part of their new change, whether it be the eating or the exercise.

It helps for me to just post the difficulties I am having and the goal I will set to overcome it.....so for those having big or little struggles today post here and others can give you advice or give you the boost you need.

One thing I used to do when my snacking was limited was to tell myself I could have a little snack as soon as I did 100 situps  That worked sometimes. Or make myself mop the kitchen first. Or clean the fridge first. Anything I really didn't want to do. Usually it would make me not want a snack ;)

Is there anything that is unlimited that you could eat? It might not be what you want but as my mother used to tell me, "then you aren't hungry, are you?"

Come here and vent to us anytime, sweetie. We're here for you.

Drink a large glass of water. Often signs of 'hunger' is really a sign of 'thirst' that we are not distiguishing.

Can you have some 'mini meals' that are protien based in your WOE? Often -- a couple ounces of meat or nuts gets me thru to the next meal easily.

I made it till lunch. I was drinking water but I was still hungry. There are a few unlimited choices, but I didn't bring any of those to work with me. I haven't been having this problem till yesterday. I will have to make sure I bring them tomorrow. Thanks for all the support!

Never, Ever, Never leave home without your snacks. What were you thinking.LOL Tonight when you get home fix you some non parishable snacks in a special bag to take to work with you. I have slimfast snack bars handy, wow chips, ff pringles, carmel popcorn cakes, pretezls ect handy at all times. Esp. when i know i'm not gonna be home to have them close by. Keep something with you always. When your feeling like this it's not a good thing your more like to get a unhealthy snack from that nasty vending machine. Take control you can do it. Make a mini goal to get you thru the rest of your work day and then take charge of your body so that you can feed it at will girl! You can make it I just BELIEVE you will! I'm sending lots of willpower your way right now.

Thanks for all the support. I had snacks, but not 'free' snacks and with diabetes my snacks are scheduled and I should really try to not each between them. That is what was hard about today, I had my snacks and still wanted more.....not a good thing. I did well at work! Thanks everyone!

It was hard, but you did it. Thats the way to do it. . . one day. . . one hour. . . one step at a time.

How are the munchies getting to you today? :) Do you think you need to increase your snack size a tad bit to help them tide you over until your next meal? What were you doing when you got to feeling snacky? Were you busy or were you just kind of bored? I find that when I'm busy (doing yardwork or sewing or working on some project or another) I don't feel hungry. It's when I'm just sitting around that I feel those hunger pangs (or the need to snack!)

Good luck! I hope you can make it through today!!! :) You know we're all here cheering you on! :) You are our role model, you goal reacher, you! :) :) :) :)
