I know it is not nice for tent campers, sorry. But I love it when it rains and the heavier the better. we love to sit and listen to the rain while reading a book or watching TV. it is so relaxing because there is not much to do outside, so I just enjoy it.

Actually I do enjoy a little rain when we're tent camping! We have a rain guard thingy over our tent, so it never gets wet in there. And, it's fun sitting under the screen tent playing cards and watching the rain! :teeth:

Nope don't like it. My DW is getting mad because I told her I was bringing the sattelite dish with me when we go down camping she thinks it is a waste of time I disagree I don't want to miss a single hockey game while we are away LOL.

Everyone thinks I'm nuts, but I love it when it rains. Started when I was 10 at Girl Scout Camp, there was nothing better than sitting in the canvas platform tent and listening to the rain hit the top of the tent. When we were camping over the 4th of July a terrific storm hit about 3 a.m. and we were all awake reading our books until it passed. Joyce

Yep I am over the moon with joy for the coming season I can't wait. As for camping in the rain I have only ever tent camped in the rain and hated it so I am not to sure how I feel about doing this in a TT. I guess time will tell won't it.

I hated it when I was tent camping. Rain in the pop-up was tolerable. But now that we have a TT, I love it!

We had 4 days in a tent in the rain at FW in May and had it gone on a day longer I think I would have headed for the All Stars. It was depressing being in the drizzle all day and then everything at camp never completely dried out until mid-week.

We like being really muddy and drenched. Makes you appreciate the sun when it comes out and makes life a big, humid pit.

I have never been camping in the rain but DH says it isn't too bad. We are going to FW on Aug 12th and camping for 4 days first time camping for all the kids. We live in SW Florida on the coast. Last year on my DD birthday Hurricane Carley hit us :guilty:!! She didn't get to have a party with her friends and we had no power for a week :sad2:!! Six months later she had to had her appendix taken out in emergancy surgery :sad1:!! To say the least not a good year for her. So DH and I decided for her birthday this year we would go to Disney :Pinkbounc!!! She was so happy when we told her buuuut guess what is out in the Atlantic heading this way???? Tropical Storm Ileane! We are praying everyday it turns up into the Atlantic and doesn't get anywhere close to us or we will be spending our camping time at Disney in a Tropical storm !! We are not canceling!!!! Wish us luck :wizard:

DH 30 :earsboy:
DW 32 :earsgirl:
DD 8 princess: Jasmine
DD 7 (at Disney) princess: Ariel
DS 4 pirate: Capt Jack
DD 15 months princess: Belle

SixAMmom, we had that happen to us last year. We arrived at Ft. Wilderness as one of the hurricanes (not sure which one it was, but it wasn't Charley) was going toward the panhandle. We thought we'd get one night out of it, and also figured that the hurricane wasn't going that direction. However, we were turned around at the gate. It was pretty disappointing, but totally understandable. They did offer us accomodations at one of the All Star resorts, but we ultimately made other plans.

:disrocks: Camping in the rain is awsome, as long as we have SOME sun time! The sound of rain on the roof is the best for afternoon naps. Play hard in the am, and by afternoon, DH, myself, and the dog (or as I call him, Son), are ready for a good long nap!!! Nothing like the rain and a good movie on the dish to make it happen!!
