Who knows about pool toys, especially fun noodles?

I emailed Disney a while ago, but got no reply. I know from reading these boards that inflatable stuff is out, but I was wondering about fun noodles? If it makes a difference, we're staying at the Poly.

Not sure about the Poly with fun noodles but I do know that Y&B allows them because that is where we bought ours. I think that the pool rules vary from resort to resort as I also know that OKW allows baby float boats & waterwings for the children and was told at the GF that they do not allow them.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help:confused:

They sell them poolside at the ALLStars, along with some other water "toys".Our boys bought two and when we had to go home, they found a couple of small kids who didn't have them and gave them to them.Good thing, because I had no idea how I was going to get them on the plane  .

I was at the Poly recently and overheard a conversation similar to your question. THe Lifeguard was telling the person that they allow flotation items that little kids wear on their arms above r but no rafts or things like it. I didn't hear about fun noodles specifically, but would assume they aren't allowed at the Poly. I didn't see any in use. Maybe because there is a lot more swimming "room" at the YC&BC they're OK there?

think some things vary lifeguard to lifeguard too - as far as what they'll let slide and not.

We were in the pool at WL. Had our 3 yo in a swim ring (bought at Ft. Wild the year before). Was told by lifeguard I needed to be next to her at all times - no problem! Another lifeguard comes along a few minutes later - tells me she can't use just that and explains they have a policy that she needs two floating devices if using at all (meaning if we added water wings or bubble she'd be ok!) We were allowed to continue to use it after I explained about 1st lifeguard so go figure!!

I leave tomorrow, staying at the Poly, be back in a week and will let you know. Since we are driving we will take our fun noodle.

Our kids will not go to a pool without those noodles -- just fold them tightly in half and you can easily fit in a duffle. We typically travel with a duffle filled with noodles and sand toys. At least it is very light to carry!

Wow - you are good!

I travel alone with a child so I pack as little as possible - my routine is just to buy a noodle & sand toys in the gift shop and pass them on to a new family on the day we depart.

It is just so much easier and makes the new family happy :D
