Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Wow! You have me all excited now!! HDDR looks and sounds like so much fun!! What great seats too! We have Category 1 seating so maybe we will be lucky and up close too! Do they always have resort buses when leaving? Our dinner is at 5pm and I was thinking we would have to go back to MK to catch a bus.

Hi Lisa! Looks like you all had a great time at the Hoop Dee Doo!! I am def putting that on the list for next time!! I guess this trip report is finally going to come to an end :sad2: However, you can now move onto your pre-trip report!!! :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2: It's getting closer!!!

I can't believe how oblivious I was!:lmao: We were sitting right behind Hunter and Mama!! That's me holding my DD3 and my DH facing you between Hunter and Mama. You can see my other DD in some of the other pictures.

I have been reading your TRs for a couple years and knew you would be there during our trip. We may have even been on the same boat to Ft. Wilderness cause we were staying at Wilderness Lodge. In fact, we were booked at CBR based on reading your TRs until I got the wonderful 40% pin code and switched to WL.:thumbsup2 Our next trip, we'll be staying at CBR.

I'll have to check my pics again to see if I can spot you in any.:thumbsup2

All that food looks soooooo yummy! I may just have to do this show one trip. This trip is a very tight budget, though, so no sit down meals at all. Counter service all the way. The only "splurge" is the fireworks dessert party.

On a totally off-topic subject: Do you have any tips on visiting HS during the first weekend of the Star Wars Weekends? My DD will be taking her fiance' (well, hubby by then) and the two kids and is looking for any tips she can get. She especially wants to get Christopher (5) into the jedi academy.

Any and all tips are appreciated. :worship:

Finally got caught up again. Love the Hoop pics. That is only of the only few memories I have from my trip in 1991.

Great updates Lisa! Your pictures of the lagoon area at sunset are beautiful.

I love a good summer rain....it makes everything smell so good! And you were able to take cover and just watch so that's even better. ;)

Hoop-De-Doo looks like fun. That's something we have never done...it might have to go on the "someday" list!

I hope Mama decides to go on the trip with you....she looks like she has so much fun! :)

Nice update! I've been hemming and hawing about scheduling a Hoop Dee Doo dinner... Sounds like good food and a fun show. But $52 - $62 per person (depending on category) -- Yikes!!! It really looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

We love hoop Dee Doo too. We've gone twice. We like the food too, but really hate the cowboy beans. I think they are just disgusting. Even Skip, who eats just about anything, thinks they are gross.
I love the corniness of the show too. It's good family fun.
And the strawberry shortcake is soo good! :woohoo:

I've been reading your report and loving all the pics. Just wanted to chime in that we do Hoop every few years and always enjoy it. My brother and brother-in-law (both Pooh sized) have each been chosen for participation in that last part of the show...if ya know what I mean.;):rotfl::dance3:

HDDR looks like such a knee-slapping good time. How cute that Hunter got a "smoochie-poo".

Beautiful pictures on the boat over to WL. The boat ride must have been so relaxing.

There's a new restaurant in West Monroe/Monroe? Which one? When we come in I usually go to Red Lobster, there isn't one here (which is really weird to me), but oh, how I love Red Lobster.

Thank you! I had quite a few sunset pictures but didn't post them all. I just kept snapping away because it was so pretty.

Hoop is a fun dinner show but can be expensive if you're not on the dining plan.

Mama is still on the fence. I told John I wish she'd just say yes or no. I hate the not knowing.

I understand the hemming and hawing. The first time we went, we were in Category 3. We had the very last table and I thought "oh no, we aren't going to see a darn thing" but I was pleasantly surprised. We could see it all and the performers passed by our table several times. The same thing with Category 2. We had a table front and center on the balcony (which scared the dickens out of me since I am scared of heights) but the view was great.

The cowboy beans are not my thing either! But some people were gobbling them down like there was no tomorrow.

Thank you so much for joining in! Oh my word! I would love for somebody from my family to get chosen to participate. So, did they have to wear the tutu?

It is definitely a hand clapping, foot stomping kinda show!

Cheddars is the new restaurant. I looked at the menu online and it looks good and the prices are reasonable. That's probably why the wait to get in was 2 hours! I have never been to Red Lobster and I don't know why. I guess it's because we always go to Catfish Cabin which has the best fish in town.

just sent you a PM

great pictures from the Hoop Dee Doo! Hunter is too cute! love the smoochy results ;)
food looked yummy and that is good to know that they provide busses back to your resort.

The show was really fun and it was funny to see how Hunter reacted to his smooch!

Looks like you'll had fun at HDDR. This became one of our must dos each trip by accident. On our second trip we had the luau booked and it was cancelled because of the weather and we had two extra dining credits. We tried every restaurant and the only available seating was the HDDR.

This was our third time to see Hoop Dee Doo. We've enjoyed it every time!

The three times we have seen Hoop, there have been buses waiting to go back to the resort. Having said that, I guess they are there for every show. We've only gone to the second and last shows.

I hate that it's coming to an end. But, like you said, now I can move on to my pre-trip report.

OH MY WORD! I can't believe it! Isn't that the coolest thing ever that your family is in my pictures! I had everybody at my house looking at the picture last night.

I forgot to look at your ticker. When are you going to Disney again?

If we weren't on the dining plan, we might skip Hoop. I've been considering the fireworks dessert party for our upcoming trip. I'm thinking about changing our Plaza dinner to lunch and booking the dessert party.

As far as Star Wars Weekends go........get there super early! We were close enough to the front of the Fastpass lines (Fastpasses to the meet and greets) that we were able to quickly loop back around and obtain two more.

Hunter hasn't done the Jedi Academy since they started doing it the sign-up way. We used to stand in the heat and Hunter jumped up and down to get chosen.

Finally got caught up again. Love the Hoop pics. That is only of the only few memories I have from my trip in 1991.

Glad to hear that you're caught up again. I was one updating woman there for a while.

Good news! I found the video of Hunter getting the 1,000 gallons of water dumped on him at Hollywood Studios. I also found the video of the storm that blew through the area. They are uploading to Photobucket now but they sure are taking their own sweet time.

Once those get done, I can organize my Magic Kingdom pictures. If they don't get done soon, I won't be able to update until tomorrow.

Tonight, we are going to finish through our business receipts so that we can take everything to our tax preparer. Sometimes, it's wonderful being self-employed and at other times, it sucks.....times like tax time.:headache:

Cheddar's is fantastic! The chicken pot pie is out of this world and comes with a salad and one of their honey croissants for about $7. It's an awesome deal!

I've never done HDDR but your pictures make it look like a lot of fun and something River would love. Maybe we can work it in sometime.

The HDDR looks like a fun time. Food looks good too. I see that the beans don't have the best reputation, but strawberry shortcake is my Favorite desert ever!:cloud9:
I did start my TR, see ya there:thumbsup2

I don't have a ticker yet:sad1: We probably won't be going until 2012. I haven't been able to convince my hubby we NEED to go every year yet!! Until then, I just get my fix here on the DIS and through your wonderful TRs:thumbsup2

I still really want to stay at CBR cause of all your beautiful pictures:lovestruc Once our youngest DD is a little older, yearly trips would be more doable cause we will start driving instead of flying. Those airline tickets are getting outrageous:scared1:

Yep, and I was proud of them, they hammed it up pretty good.:dance3:

I wished Hunter had hammed it up more but I think he was nervous about all that water coming down on him.

:woohoo: I can't wait to see them!!

I left them uploading all night from my office computer and the only one that finished was the rain storm. It's still uploading the HS video. I have no idea why it's taking so long.:confused3

We looked at the menu and everything looked so good and their prices were super reasonable. I may ahve to try the chicken pot pie if we ever get to go there. There's no way I'm waiting 2 hours for a meal.
