Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Too cool that Hunter got to meet Mr. Peterson, even though I don't know who he is either:laughing:.
I can't wait to see what the surprise is that John bought.:goodvibes

My boys (who are huge Star Wars fans) said that Lorne Peterson is Count Dooku. They said it was nice to see him smile - apparently he's a bad guy.

I too love your pre-trip and trip reports and all the little side stories. I would follow your blog or whatever you decide to start!

I would have been nervous about time sitting at the Indiana Jones show too. I know exactly how you must have felt!

So glad Hunter got to meet Lorne Peterson and it was a good experience for him. :thumbsup2

The Streets of America picture of John is a hoot! :rotfl:

Ooooohhh....Hunter found a magic shop! I bet he was in his glory!

I know what you mean about not having a plan...it just doesn't feel right! I don't know how people go for entire vacations without one. CRAZY!! :confused3

Nice updates. I will confess, I don't know much about the Star Wars actors either, but I think its so cool that they have such a huge following.

Question - How do those storm troopers survive in those costumes. What the heck kind of cooling device is in there. Just looking at one of those costumes makes me hot!

Doh to the drinking **** who put the drink on the baby's stroller. No wonder they cut in line!

Lisa, your entries rock! I will admit I am a huge Star Wars fan and am a little jealous of Hunter. :) It is great that you are all able to have so much fun together and everyone can do what they like!

I'm coming back to post replies but the boss is in with a client and now's a good time to try and post a little more trip report. Don't know how long it'll be but at least it's something.

Once John had re-gained his footing (you'll remember he almost fell down trying to be silly when posing on the Streets of America) and Hunter had tried getting in the false front Magic Shop, we were ready to find something else to do. What would we do? Heck, we didn't know. Just something. This no-plan of action was driving me absolutely nutso. Well, more nutso since ya'll already know that I'm a tad bit touched already.:rolleyes1

We hadn't seen Muppet Vision 3D yet so that's where we headed. John tried calling Mama again and got no answer. Honestly, it didn't surprise us. Mama never keeps her cellphone turned on. She only turns it on when she's calling somebody then she immediately turns it off. :confused3 Oh well, we'd try again and hopefully catch her when it was on.

When we reached Muppet Vision 3D, we noticed that the line wasn't out the front of the building like it normally was. It was off to the side. That was the first time we had ever seen it like that. While the line wasn't long, it did extend down the side of the building. I don't know if Disney did it that way to keep the people out of the rain or what? Anyway, I'm glad that it was down the side of the building because we got to see something we had never seen before. Look:

Aren't the posts and light fixtures the cutest things ever?!?! There were also posters and paintings on the walls that I loved:

Continued in next post

There were so many posters that were modeled after old movie posters and we laughed at each one of them. But, I couldn't get a good picture of all of them because of the other people in line. The line moved fairly quickly and we were in the building in no time.

We got our 3D glasses and went into the holding room where I took even more pictures. John tried Mama one last time and got no answer so he turned it on vibrate and said he'd try again after we got out of the show. I snapped pictures while we were waiting:

We were watching the television screens and laughing at the same old reel that they have shown for several years now when I noticed a little boy about three years old standing near me and he was crying. He looked like he was lost and I didn't see anyone looking for him. However, we were at the front of the holding room and the room was super crowded by then and it was loud in there too.

I looked near the theater doors for a castmember and there was no one there. So, I picked the little boy up and kind of held him up a little so maybe one of his parents would see him. Poor little thing was still crying and I tried to calm him down. A lady came forward and she had tears in her eyes. The little boy reached out to her and I knew it had to be his mother. She kept saying "thank you" "thank you" but then everything else she said was in another language. I've never lost track of one of my kids in Walt Disney World but I could imagine what she was going through.

Just then, a castmember walked into the room (where was she when I needed her?) and made the announcement that the doors were about to open and we were to enter and move all the way down the rows. We let quite a few people go first because if you go in first, you're always the ones at the end of the row. Smart thinking huh! Yeah, well, ya'll already know that but lots of folks don't.

We were able to get really good seats just about two or three rows back and I tried snapping a picture without a flash and this is what it looked like:

Yeah, like crap! So, I tried it again:

A little better but still pretty bad. Oh well, at least I tried. Immediately after John put on his glasses, he was asleep. I poked him when it came to the part when Miss Piggy kicks Bunny 'cause he thinks that part is funny. I know....first he likes the slimy Roz from the Laugh Floor and now he likes to see an innocent bunny getting kicked....what can I say? I love him despite those facts.:lmao: John quickly fell asleep again and I proded him with my elbow again when it got to the end when Miss Piggy's Statue of Liberty costumes falls off and the fireworks are exploding. I didn't want him stumbling out of the theater in a half asleep stupor. :sad2: We all noticed that the ending had changed a little. Remember the last part where the wall is busted out and the people from the street are looking in? Well, they used to be dressed in clothes straight out of the 70's. Now, they look like they are at least from the 90's/:thumbsup2

We all wanted to stop into the store and see what they had. Lacey loves the poster of the Professor that's in the entrance to the theater and I always have to stop in and see if they have it for sale. They didn't. But, we did see some cute stuff and I found a hidden Mickey:

Where is it? Right here silly:

***Okay, so that's as much as I can get posted right now. I hope to be back later this evening to post replies. Oh, and I'm working on getting my blog up. I'll let you guys and gals know when it's up and running.

Love all of the pictures from the Muppets! We haven't seen that in years, but I think we need to go back soon. Also LOL about John sleeping. He really can sleep anywhere can't he:lmao:

Great update, Lisa. When we saw the Muppets, I did not notice the difference in the clothes at the end...I'll have to pay attention next trip. too funny that John immediately fell asleep and you had to wake him up when you did. He cracks me up.

muppets is always a fun show...how scary for the little one that you found; that is my nightmare with Ashton especially now with him wanting to be more independent...it is so easy for them to think they are with their grown up and so easily slip in with another pair of jeans...

I love the muppets - one of my favorite things in DS. You have the knack of taking pictures of things that I haven't noticed which brings me back to the attraction all over again - thanks! Poor little guy - so glad Mom showed up quickly.

Enjoyed the update, Lisa. Muppets is a fun attraction. As you demonstrated, there is so much to see at the preshow! I didn't notice the crowd update at the end of the show. Thanks for pointing that out!!!

Nice update, Lisa!

We went to Muppets when it was raining and I just assumed that the line was moved because of that. Maybe it's a new thing?

We love Muppets3D! If we are at Hollywood Studios, we have to see it! When Sam says "a salute to all nations, but mostly America", I giggle. Every time.

When we did our Pirates & Pals cruise, the pirate said that as we were watching the water parade and I giggled like a little girl. Everyone else on the boat looked at me like I was loony, but our pirate gave me a big smile of thanks for actually knowing what he was talking about.

What is it with people losing their kid in Hollywood Studios? :confused3 When I was walking up to The Great Movie Ride I saw two women running around screaming a girls name and asking everyone if they saw a little blonde girl. The guy in front of me pointed to the corner and there was a little girl, maybe 5, standing with 4 CMs crying her eyes out. Her mom and the other woman ran over to her and they were all crying. The CMs looked so relieved that they didn't have to search for the girls parents!

I find lost kids quite a bit. I think it's because they look for a mom with kids and since we have 6 we fit the bill. Sometimes it takes me a little while to realize we have a stow-away. :rotfl: I usually just stay right where we are and wait for a frantic adult to come into the area.

The most memorable time was in the waiting are for Soarin. My mom had taken my 4 boys on the ride while I waited with the girls. We were on the very last set of benches and this little boy is crying walking by all the waiting people. I was amazed that no one tried to help him. He was obviously lost. So when he got to us I asked him if needed help finding his parents. He nodded his head. I was taking him to the CM when a very frantic dad entered the area. The little boy and I saw him at the same time. I started waving my arms and the little boy started running to him. The dad didn't know how to react. It was one of those "Don't ever leave my side again!" and "I was so scared I had lost you forever" Shake - hug - shake - hug.

Lisa- I'm finally caught up & I am also following your blog. It sounds like your DHS day was nearly perfect!! I have to agree with you- I LOVE that Peter Pan painting, too. :)
